If we were talking about the Springfield teams of 1991-1994 then I'd boost them up however from 1995-2010 the Yellow Jackets have won a total of 4 playoff games (2 of those came in 1997 alone).

Greenbrier has proven year in and year out that they can get into the playoffs and win games. Outside of the 2006 season I'd say that every year since the start of the 2002 season has been successful for Greenbrier fans.

Springfield better not think "they have this one in the bag" because they'll be in for a huge surprise if they overlook the Bobcats.

Springfield by 13. They have too many athletes for the Bobcats,

players to watch:

#45 Kyle Roark (GB) He will be blowing up plays in the backfield all night.

Brandon Farmer (SP) He can do it all for the Yellow Jackets, you will see him in the endzone multiple times.

I just hope this game will be better that last year's because that was just not a fun one to watch :roflol:

Unless Springfield lost a lot to graduation, I don't see this one being close at all. Greenbrier doesn't have the team speed to keep up with them. No disrespect to Greenbrier, but I watched Springfield destroy us last year and I think it would be the same for them. Although stranger things have happened.............

I do not think folks realize how much the Coach's Senior son/QB transfer they got last year helped this team(Springfield). It was a complete 180 change for the yellow jackets last year. If they can copy and paste another athlete into their offense like this, they will be successful once again. However, I agree, don't count out the Bobcats. They had their first scrimmage tonight vs a mediocre Clarksville Northwest, and put up like 7 TD's to 1. Look for the Bobcats to be improved on offense, especially with some Juniors and Sophmores stepping up. The Defense will get its first test next week vs Beech. Stay tuned.....

    • You could trade or swap any 2-4 IMO . WC is rebuilding, PC loses the presence of 4 year stud Joshua Warren. Mcewen lacks the speed the other teams have , and also lost its top two way player from last season . HRB will look a lot different this coming season.. they return a ton of experience (though still a little on the young side as they are mostly JRs and SO ) but I liked what I saw out of them vs Mcnairy Central , I was hearing MC had 18 SRs , so that’s usually a death sentence vs small 1A schools I don’t care who they are . HRB looked to have the best player on the field , Brady can really run it .. reminds me of Ganaway but more of a WR .. the new regime will be a positive for them .
    • watch out for those Red Boiling Bulldogs
    • Never too early for football talk and good as time as any to start a new thread for this region after spring scrimmages have been completed. This region is all up for grabs after Mckenzie.. Mckenzie should run away with it and not stop until Chattanooga . My prediction  Mckenzie  Houston County  HRB Mcewen  West Carroll  Perry County
    • Agreed EastNasty. I honestly can't remember the last time metro had a big time QB recruit. I know several that played QB but weren't being recruited as a QB.
    • Don’t think they was using the current system and I personally don’t consider them Metro schools.
