Congrats to Sequoyah on the win against Rockwood.Next is Meigs how do you think this one wil go.Meigs must be a little better after beating Upperman or is Upperman that bad.But i give the cheifs the win in this one 24 to 7.I still say Sequoyah should go at least 7 and 3 and be in the other 3 games to say its a good year and maybe even sneak a win in against polk or loudoun or lenior city but should not get blowed out.Iwill hang up now and liston to the replies.

Upperman is terrible!

One measure of a good football team is beating someone who you are not suppose to beat. You should have beat a Rockwood team that is down this year. Might have a chance against a very young Loudon team but they are always very well coached. Do not see you guys beating Lenior City. Got better athletes that they have had in years. Couple of transfers that are very good. Polk? Please.......Dream on!

Meigs will be tougher than you think. Huge on both lines but a little slow. Got a good solid running back that runs down hill. The Chiefs will need to spread them some and get to the edge. Chiefs in a close one.

Well Loudon may be better then you think beat L.C. last night.I think Seq.does win this one , but it may be a closer game then what i thought.I heard that Seq.may have a couple suspended for this game but i only heard it, not saying its true. What will help Meigs is that extra game under their belt against a descent team, and they kept it close. The more you play the better you get most of the time,if you can keep injurys down.Seq.seemed to have alot of bugs to work out and being off a week dont help.

Harig is a quality coach. I saw LC scrimmage Alcoa in the spring. They got a couple of transfers from Clinton. This outcome surprised me for sure. The coaching staff at Loudon is one of the best groups there is.

Meigs is going to run it for sure. LC has some good players. Not sure what the problem is with the Panthers.

Kids getting suspended on the off-week...Geez! Good luck to the Chiefs.

Meigs line is big and very physical, this team as improved leaps and bounds since last year. The Savage kid runs hard but didnt break many tackles last night. I dont know much about Sequ. so im not making a prediction.

Chiefs football is ready to follow suite with Basketball and Baseball. Chiefs Basketball and Baseball both won the District last season and football looks to claim it's stake this year. I Know it was not possible, in the eyes of many, last year for Basketball and baseball but the Chiefs proved everyone wrong. Chiefs win this contest 21-7. The Chiefs offense is much improved with Dyer, McKane, and Huffman carrying the load. The biggest improvement is on Defense. Chiefs are still very young upfront and should continue to improve week to week. Good luck! Go CHIEFS!

Sequoyah should win this one.....hands down. Too many weapons for Meigs to try and stop. The only way Meigs will keep it close is if Sequoyah lets them have the middle and Meigs runs every play there. As for Sequoyah being on the same level as Polk.....sorry, not this year. Just because Polk has lost the first two does not make them dead. Just injured. Derrick Davis will make sure he at least wins the district. With 70 kids and the metal factor, Sequoyah will not take district this year. Meigs will not either.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
