Frankie is one you never have to wonder if he is playing 110%....that's in the classroom or whatever he's doing....the off season done him well.... Played all of las year with a hamstring injury nagging at him...he's healthy and giving it all he's got for the team. Looks very stong and quicker than las year, he's a player !

Thats good...kid is a heck of an athlete!

I agree Logger. I saw both teams play in the Jamboree,JB appears stronger all around, now ER has some size this yr on the line and they have a running back that almost matches Frankie. So they wont lay down and I believe the game will be ALOT tougher than last yr. I think JB will win this game hands down though. :thumb:

Staying healthy is the key.

I'll be looking forward to seeing the score Friday night.

YEAR JB ER

2011 ??? ???

2010 44 0

2009 44 28

2008 37 6

2007 41 7

2006 26 0

2005 28 27

2004 NO GAME

2003 NO GAME

2002 34 8

2001 27 6

2000 26 15

This years game would give JB 10 wins in a row in the series. This rivalry has not had a win streak like that before by either team. Sees to me like that's plenty to play for on both sides of the ball.

It took 2 days to play the 05 game.... Transformers blew east momentum on Friday night and the devils finish with the win in an OT thriller on sat night.... That was the year east won their district which goodpasture, CPA, DCA, ezell was also in.... They find themselves playing a #4 seed Richland team and get beat whils goodpasture continues on to the state game

I've always said that someone needs to be arrested for losing to Richland in the first round.

81...have you went back and watched any film? I know we weren't very happy on Friday. Have you went back and seen anything that would give us hope going forward. Do you think it's as bad as it seemed?

Absolutely not, this early season adversity is just what the doctor ordered IMO. So far this season JBS is 1-1 and have played 2 good football teams, both of which are in a higher classification than they are and they have 2 more such teams down the road not including this week. Humbolt will be a great test next week and just what JBS needs win or lose. They actually have alot of experience back on defense but the problem is, the areas that have had to have people step up are critical ones such as LB. Everybody knows that if LB play is not up to par then you are going to struggle in some capacity. From watching in the stands it seemed to me that they would get tangled up in traffic and lose sight of the ball carrier. Having said that, they are still lacking experience and need to get some more games under their belt, but I think they are going to be fine. The defensive coaches on that staff are very capable and will get those kids up to speed. Another area that needs improvement on defense is getting pressure on the QB. The Casacade QB had a lot of time to throw but he did create some of that w/ his scrambling ability. These tough games are enabling this team to grow and get better and although it may not seem that way right now, I believe it will show up later in the season.....

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
