Wow! You were just about spot on. I didn't see the game, but Indy's defense must be for real. (It also helps that the district is down too.)You would have to think now that Indy would be favored in all the rest of the district games except for Franklin. That should be a heck of a game there with a great offense against a great defense. Something will have to give. Congrats to Indy on a big district win.

just kinda wondering what ALL the indy haters have to say now or what excuses they got or what next they have to criticize dyson on. Looks like its gunna be comming down to Franklin and Indy for the district championship. Indys D is legit in case anyone was still wondering. Offense will keep improving and have the best special teams in the state. I think its a pretty good formula for sucess.

If it wasnt for indy having numerous stupid personal foul penalties that kept there only drive of the game alive after they kept stopping them on 3rd down Brentwood and there sorry PREDICTABLE peewee football play calling they woulda never even gotten past the 50 yardline all night

Indys defense scheming is really solid. They will bring a linebacker on every play and on pass plays bring two. Brentwood really lacks team speed and play makers that can get lose in the open field. They run to set up the pass but have trouble throwing the ball with any consistency making long drives hard to put together. :popcorneater:

    • RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
