Tough game for the cheifs this week.I thought the cheifs had a chance to go 7 and 3 now i'm afraid 5 and 5 might be where their headed.I hope they can get it together for this game.I recommed going back to duece set some and mix it up.The tallent is there to run it,but may be a little late to try it.I just hope we play a good game and its close, what does everyone else think.

LC by as many as they want! I am afraid our Chiefs are in for a long night after last week. Keep working hard. GO CHIEFS!

Dang! What did Meigs do to you guys? 2 games into the season and writing the Chiefs off against LC....It was only about 3 weeks ago the Chief faithful were talking about being 7 and 3 and beating Polk...

LC is improving each year.. so far they havent done anything to much being 1-1 and beating a team they were expected to beat and losing to loudon which again they where expected to end the losing streak and beat them this year....! LC will be expected to beat Seq and they will. good luck to both teams . Lc by a few tds

Well if you go and look at my post its says they should go 7 and 3.It didn't say they would and there was a little sarcism in the post.I did'nt go to the game but everyone i talked to said sequoyah had a lot more tallent on the feild. So how do you get beat that bad.I WONDER.It not hard to figure out what there doing. Its 1980 football.

Athletically Sequoyah has no buisness being on the field with LC. LC should have a big return game night. LC is faster and bigger. However this is HS football and LC is relying on their "playmakers" to make plays so a Loudon like let down is possible....

To Sequoyah's credit they play hard and their QB is a good athlete

LC 42-0

I don't think Sequoyah has any more talent than Meigs. Seq just got out played in the second half.

You know the young men from seq do actually read these posts whether they should or not,i have never heard (fans)talk so badly about their own team, you lose to meigs and you write the whole season off,how about giving them some support,i of course am from Greenback and am a big fan of your coach,he was my coach in high school he knows the game very well, being from a small school which has a winning tradition(which coach satterfield started)we were on the field all the time with teams bigger faster stronger and we won most of them, because you cant measure heart and the fight in these kids give them a chance, you all have some nice athletes they just dont have the tradition yet,if you parents will get out of the way and let the team come together you all might be surprised!I would love to see you all be sucsesful.

It was no let down for the Loudon game. They just got out played and out coached.7 in a row isn't a let down.

It's pretty much a given that Players from any school are reading the posts on here. A message to the Sequoyah Players.......don't run around telling people that the game you are playing that week will be a "walk through" for the district before you play it! I heard that from several players leading up to Meigs. That's what got you beat! Now, for the coaches who read this from Sequoyah....stop saying crap like that in front of the players. Everything they say is nothing but a repeat of what they have heard in practice. Meigs County was nothing but counting your chickens before they hatched.

Back to the lenoir City Game. After the massive let down from last week and a lack of parental support, Sequoyah's players never fully get their heads up. LC by 3 TD's.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
