Polk will crush everyone in the district.. prob by mercy rule. Polk lost two games to two good teams. They will KILL sweetwater, mags county, the chefs.

If Polk looks like they did in the first quarter Friday they will lose before the district is over. This is a very small Polk team is very down from years past and lacking alot of talent across the board. The Akins kid is their sparkplug on offense and they're hurting in a big way with the absence of Farmer on the defensive side.

I disagree, Polk is physical - and there is nothing small about 39. Polk will be fine, and may even win a first round game this year.

CoachJ is right Polk is much smaller and not very quick, but the rest of the district isn't good sooooo... Edge has to go with the coaching Polk 28 the other wildcats 18.

I agree the district is down, but other 3rd and 4th from other district is down too. Polk is a little smaller but run the offense effectivly. I feel they are quick enough to get it done. Polk wins by more than 20 in this one.

I will be gracing you people from Polk County with my presence when you play South Pittsburg later in the season. Your living legend coach has completely owned the South Pittsburg coach during recent seasons. I look forward to a good game between these two clubs much like the 2009 meeting at Phillip Beene Stadium. Many young lads from both clubs will have a chance at legend status during this game. I know many of you have still not had the opportunity to get the autograph of a legend so make sure and get to the game early so I can accommodate everyone. I will be watching the young lads from South Pittsburg for the first time during the regular season this Friday night against the young lads from Marion. I will be looking for any young lads that could gain the ever allusive legend status. Legend status is coveted by many, but only attainted by a select few. Tell your young lads that The Living Legend says good luck this week and in the weeks to come.

      That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.

      No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me.       It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
