TN vs. KY games

why have there been so many teams from the mid-state playing all of these schools from Ky. I can remember when BA played Olive Branch on ESPNU, but why are so many teams doing this when it really doesn't matter for your record?

Because it's about branching out there and getting some national recognition. Start nearby with MS,AL,KY,etc then go further if you find success. The national high school football wave is taking over. Jump on board for the ride or you'll be left behind. A lot of top teams throughout the country are doing it. We(TN) need to keep pace.

For what ever its worth, Trinity has just moved up to the #1 team in the entire US.

Nice to Note that MBA's offense put the most points up against Trinity, and yes the Defense gave up a lot but the mercy rule came into play a lot later in KY than in TN.

My bad, didn't realize Trinity has played another TN team. Maybe that's MBA's problem. Fans find a positive in a 45 pt loss when the D is GASHED for over 600 yds.
