Bradley Central at Blackman

One thing that is consistant in this thread.... High Scores lol.

Bradley has the offensive firepower to make any team respect what they do. There is speed all over the field, but a very different running style with most of the Bears; more finesse and quickness and great vision for cut backs and open field running.

Defensively, so far, I have not pleased with the defensive play tho. Gotta make solid contact and wrap up better.

Mathers is impressive in the you tube vids, but there is a lot of excellent blocking going on there too. One thing tho is that I'm not sure he has the speed to run away from Bradley's speed. Not saying he's slow, just that he may find a match in speed. Getting him on the ground now will not be easy, from what I saw.

Great game is a coming tho.

after the game tonight...this post is sort of funny... :roflol::roflol::roflol:

firepower??? speed all over the field??? not sure he has the speed to run away from bradley's speed??? match in speed???

Blackman did a terrific job defensively in not letting Houston Goldston or Stovall get going. The speed is there, just contained by a very good team tonight.

I was very impressed with the offensive line play by Blackman. Just as good as I thought they were.

And now another team walks away from the Inferno scratching their heads wondering... HOW IN THE WORLD CAN ANYONE EVER STOP HIM? (Him being Mathers) The funniest comment of the night can from the B.C. coach after the game when he stated "We couldn't tackle him. Heck, We couldn't two hand touch him." The B.C. fans didn't really get to see Mather's amazing cut-back ability due to the field conditions, But it's safe to say the saw enough. Enough to know the don't want to see Blackman and the Train anymore this season.

You don't have to be fancy if you have a Train.

GO BLAZE!

oh they saw his cut back ability. although it was called back, the first play from scrimmage set the tone for the night

Bradley scored once in the first half...once in the 2nd half...but did play better overall in the 2nd half...

the bottom line of this game was Blackman's offensive line dominating Bradley's defensive line and LB's...although the I train the real deal...on half of his carries tonight he was never touched until he was 5 to 10 yards down the field...nearly anyone could have run through those holes...and offensively bradley really had no running game to speak of...but a good passing game...but even it was inconsistent...and number 6 was held in check too...

congradulations on turning that program around...yall will win alot more games for sure...i was on the chain gang so i got to see the class guys and coaches that you have!

Thanks. I've seen them play better. Took them too long to get on track offensively, and the hole was too deep by then. Never did get the running game going. (I suppose if you practice run defense against Mathers every day, you are forced to get somewhat good at it!)

Which chain guy were you? I was the stat man with the clipboard and the band shirt.

Just so you know... We don't tackle him in practice either. And it has nothing to do with not hurting him.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
