pass blocking isn't good, WRs are young. Spread offense just wasn't working.

Good answer!! " Dynamite dozen#1 , Elite 11 " WHAT A JOKE !!!!!

Slaughter has had two other QB'S and never changed from the spread and it was not because of no pass blocking or young wr's. You either can or you can't !!

If Cleveland puts pressure on the extremely undisciplined Red Bank QB(#2), then they can shut down the Lion's offense. The Red Bank coaches continue to go with an unorganized offense with a QB who has happy feet and will take off at the drop of a hat. Open receivers all over the field, but he is too undisciplined to hang in the pocket to find them. They have a true passer on the sidelines, but won't use him. He was only "Player of the Week" against Soddy, yet the staff constantly goes with the little guy.

I would say this one will come down to coaching, but I guess I should say that this one will come down to players overcoming coaching.

Cleveland needs to keep riding their emerging running game. They now have 3 serviceable running backs, each bringing a unique style to the mix. Pound the rock to open the passing game. Young receivers are improving. Defense has seemed to fare well against the run, less well against the pass...especially when unexpected. Hopefully they'll work that angle too.

As Coach Dooley says, "relentless pursuit of continuous improvement".

Go Raiders!

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
