This is funny.....I mean already blaming the refs for your loss??? Play like a champion and take the refs out of the game and then you dont have anyone to blame but yourself.

I dont think this is the first time we have heard that the Athens Refs are crap :roflol: I think that is the consensus from many of the coaches around this area.

Blah, blah, blah. 35-20 and McMinn had a TD called back thanks to "our" refs. Plus, Cleveland scored the last TD with a minute to go against the Cherokees mop-up squad.

I'll give Voytik credit for being one tough hombre'. He took a beating but kept fighting back.

Chad is a great competitor and deserves all the hype he really puts it all out there. Watched this game this week and it had some of that old hate your neighbor, smash mouth, big hitting, atmosphere. Mcminn is really looking good right now playing very physical on both sides of the ball seen them play Farragut and they got a shot to make a run in the playoffs depending on the draw. As for the refs, Mcminn had 15 penalties for 150 yards and had a interception called back on a ghost call and a about a 80 yard long play that eventually lead to a score for Cleveland that was a no call when the Mcminn DE had his helmet ripped off and slung 20 yards down the field. Had those calls been/ not been called then Cleveland would have been ran out of town. I didnt see any home cooking this week just a tough Mcminn team. My prayers will go out to the 2 young men for Cleveland I heard it was pretty bad for the one kid and I feel really bad for him and his family. Get well soon son.

Let me guess, Slaughter says his kids don't do anything for penalties.

:roflol:

Everyone from Sweetwater down to Bradley use that same association. Lets see, that includes Meigs, Polk WV, Rhea, Sequoya ect, Cleveland is the only one to use Chatt assoc. north of Hamilton. :popcorneater:

You left out Rhea County. They use Chattanooga refs unless they've changed this season.

I'm not a McMinn or Cleveland fan (hence the screen name) but I was at the game and the Cleveland fans have nobody to blame but their team. Matter of fact I will just go ahead and say it, Clevelands coaching is awful. Play action pass but there is no running back to fake to. This happened several times. 3rd and 42 and McMinn runs a bubble screen, not only does it result in a first down but a touchdown as well. 3RD AND 42!!! Cleveland tackling was porus all night. (reference previous 2 sentences) Several times Cleveland would run the option but when the qb would look to pitch the rb was IN FRONT OF HIM!!! But the best blooper all night was when Cleveland ran the reverse flea flicker and the qb had nobody to throw to because the intended reciever WAS BLOCKING!!! Furthermore, with the exception of the qb, Cleveland looked unmotivated all night.

As far as the refs, this was the same crew that called the McMinn and Central game. In that game Central got the majority of calls including 3 maybe 4 McMinn TDS called back. This crew has no McMinn "home cooking" in them what so ever.
