Ooltewah went 48-12 in Monroe’s five years, advancing to the state semifinals in 2006 and the quarterfinals in 2008. Eleven players were named to all-state teams, and current University of Tennessee defensive end Jacques Smith was a state Mr. Football in 2008 and 2009

Correction:Ooltewah went to 2 semi-finals under Monroe and was ranked #1 in the state and were upset in first rd by former number one Farragut, his last year coaching.Made playoffs every year.

Owls should do well in the playoffs.Tonight's game had a little of everything, turnovers, big plays, little plays,butt-chewings,ball boy ran head first into flag pole going for a kicked extra point ball hahaha(he's ok).Senior night was pretty good.Hopefully our stat/play by play guy will be back. Can't wait to see who we play and the brackets that come out tomorrow at 11 am.I told someone tonight,if owls play 4 qtrs of football, nobody can beat us.not being cocky but we can play when we want to.

Owls win 62-27 I think they might have had the big head in first half. Coach must have gotten on them because they shut them out in second half. Wells for mustangs is a good back

There aint no must ve gotten on them....... i could hear him jumping down there throats them in the stands!!!! Heard some stuff i should nt since the crowd was so small, kinda ridiculous too!!

Great game last night. Creech looks to be full form with 100+ yards and 3 tds... another heck of a game by Stephens paper said 250 and 4 tds and he only played a half. The running game finally got going a little bit more which the owls are gonna need to compliment Stephens and his arsenal of wideouts in the playoffs. Good luck owls!!!

Great game Owls. Offense was clicking the whole game. 28 ran better than he has all year. Also kicking game was perfect. No missed field goals or extra points. Walker played as hard as they could but Owls just have to much talent.

Agree with Goose, Owls can match up with any team and if play to potential will roll.

Losses this year were in large part of shooting ourself in the foot. Turnovers.

Playoffs at home so defend the NEST.

Congrats Coaches and staff.

    • Playing high school sports is a privilege not a right.  The college did not have to rescind the scholarship.  Scholarship offers are pulled all the time for a number of reasons. That was 100% their choice.  A coach can keep, cut, or dismiss any player that they want to without reason anytime they want.  Is that the right way to run a program?? I don't think that it is, but these are the facts of the matter. This case has absolutely 0% chance of going in the plaintiff's favor. Futhermore, I'd imagine that these administrators and the coach are a part of some teaching or coaching organization that will cover at least 1 million dollars each in legal fees. Obviously the kid and her family feel like there were "damages" thus the lawsuit.  Unfortunately, the law is not on their side in this case.
    • Maryville will recapture the loses from last year against West, Bradley and Farragut. The Bearden game will be the tough one but I look for the wheels to come off that ride somewhere down the road because of all the crap that goes on there. I know to many parents there and some of the things I've been told and some of the post a few of them have made on facebook. They all can't be liars.
    • If Heritage moves down and Alcoa moves up the best thing for Heritage is to do what William Blount did when theystopped playing Maryville or meet certain defeat. Honestly can't see Alcoa not moving up the way the county is growing. Might be in the Mountaineers best interest to stay in 5A because none of those teams on their schedule are anything close to Alcoa.
    • I say over as well. Barney, regarding the move to 4A, will the cross-town blowhards move up as well??
