Wouldn't Knox West be in Quad 1 and Powell in Quad 2? Only reason I'm asking is because a few weeks ago these same schools were listed for quad 1 and knox west was in that quad. I may be completely wrong.

It's based on location...different teams make it in each year so quads change...

It will be interesting to see where Powell and West end up. Could make a case for either in Quads 1 or 2.

I agree. Being how close they are location wise, it could go either way. If I'm the TSSAA, I think I like the idea of putting Powell and Mo West in different quads setting up for a possible Powell/Mo West meeting when it means more.

Had Columbia gone undefeated this season, I would think this would be an easy decision for TSSAA to stick Powell in Quad 1, but now I'm not so sure. If I'm Powell (or Knox West), I'd much rather be in Quad 1, so that I don't have to face Columbia/Tullahoma/Knox West until the semifinals. I think Morristown West is a step behind all 3 of those teams right now.

If I'm Powell (or Knox West), I'd much rather be in Quad 1, so that I don't have to face Columbia/Tullahoma/Knox West until the semifinals. I think Morristown West is a step behind all 3 of those teams right now. May be moot however, because Tennessee High might jump Lenoir City on the 2nd tie breaker, which would put both Powell and Knox West in Quad 2.

 

 

I agree Mo West is behind Powell/Columbia/Tullahoma. Knox West might be a good game.

 

You're spot on about Tenn High's second tie breaker being the real x-factor here. Oh well, tomorrow morning we can all stop guessing.
