Fork I heard Hillsboro is down to the final 4, u still think its Clayton's to lose or is he even in the final 4

Job is Clayton's to lose. Shrader thinks the guy can win and is probably one of only a few that actually applied for this job. It is not the job that it once was. Hillsboro's only chance at success is to go back to the disrict of the other MNPS schools.

I actually have heard good things about Hillsboro and its athletes.many people have told me that the job was a sleeping giant. Do you think with the right coaching staff that they could make some noise? I'm not too familiar with metro football

Hillsboro has two middle schools that feed it .... JT Moore Middle and West End Middle. JT Moore has historically been very successfull with a great man as their HC. Hillsboro has benefited from his success greatly. West End unfortunately has not been successful. Success breeds success. Aydellot developed a winner and left for Riverdale. Blade came in and elevated the program one more notch imo. Some may say that the change in district caused the wins to disappear others may say the revolving coaching staff under former coach was to blame. I do know that $$$ was a factor, and the better competition were keys to Hillsboro opting to join the Williamson County Region. Open enrollment (Academies) seems to be the next step for all metro schools so the players will find the winning programs and the best coaching staffs around. Hillsoro's current principal will hire a good coach, the question is, will he do enough to help the new coach bring in enough good teachers who also can be good coaches/mentors for kids. Good luck to the Burros

Why is it Clayton's job to lose? Tell us how you know what Shrader is thinking? Who will be his staff if chosen?

Anyone that thinks Hillsboro is a sleeping giant is out of touch with reality. Hillsboro had a great run, but that is over and gone and it will be a very long time before it ever wins at that level again. The current principal wont be able to help and wouldnt know what to do if he could.

Clayton's job to lose simply because I do not think that many applied for this job. Clayton's track record is above average in the win/loss columns. Clayton has a Williamson County connection with current principal Shrader. Shrader probably thinks that Clayton can win in the current district because he has already done it. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Getting a staff together will be a struggle. I am pretty sure that Hillsboro's staff this past year was mostly out of the building.

Sandpiper why do you want to know all the answers as to why I know such things? Most of what I know is common sense around these parts. If you want to know the answers just ask the fork.

No apparent reason. I just like to hear people talk. It's almost like watching ESPN where they are always saying what coaches have to do to do this, that, and the other. I'll just keep listening or reading for that matter. The Fork is funny, however, wrong, seldom is he.......lol. A little Fork-esque?
