I know that Cookeville was picked to finish first in the district, but the lady raiders should be able to hold their own this year. Does anyone know if Warren county has improved much this year?

Cookeville has the best player in the district hands down in Hannah Goolsby. After that, there could be a good battle for 2nd place.

I agree she is a great player pearlball. Do you know who she is playing aau with? She may not even be playing but I know she is not with pride and the only other teams I can think of are Flight and Trotters. I think CC will play them well, and I think we are better than Cookeville at three positions on the floor. The game will come down to how well we control the PG they have and Goolsby of course.

Coffee county notched two wins over Community and Murfreesboro Central Magnet. They look like they could be really good around tournament time. However, it seemed like the girls were not comfortable as a team yet. Lots of subbing but hopefully that will add depth as the season progresses.

Coffee County has dropped two more games since my last post. They lost to Cannon and Grundy. They got down by about 15 or more at Cannon but came back and made a game of it. However, in the grundy county game (should be notied that grundy was without their big girl) the Lady Raiders were up and then lost the lead in the second half. To me, it just seems that CC is missing a girl that can make things happen when plays are not working. They do not have that girl that can go strong to the rim and finish or kick out. What do you guys think about the performance of the team to this point?

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
