Great game panthers great win ...refs ... well what can I say thanks ...you guys were almost great ..but not really! On to round 3 ...good game liberty tech !!

dont know where to start...the refs were fine...they called a great game...got TECH for all our holds just like every other crew...but most of those were negated by several personal fouls from maplewood...liberty came out just like they did against north side and chester county on offense...weak...horrid blocking up front and dropped passes in the endzone...the defense made 3 mistakes all night...2 leading to TDs and 1 that should have been an INT but fell from the chest to the ground...weak...

maplewood defense was ok...pretty good at stopping the run but had no chance of stopping a passing game...if u can throw u own the game...for whatever reason we got away from it...mistakes on offense cost liberty the season...WRs running the wrong routes and dropping TDs, 1st downs and giving up an INT in the endzone...all horrible WR play...

as for the amazing running back...didnt see him...dont know if he came to the game or not...he had 2 nice kick returns...thats about all i saw...dont know if he had 100 yards...dont know if he ever scored...they did have 1 TD on the ground but i think it was the QB...liberty had more trouble with the big full back than the speedy RB...

when u play these guys watch ur helmets...never seen so many straps get ripped off during a game...theyre a nice time...i hope that wasnt the best they can bring to the field tho...liberty didnt show up on offense til the 4th quarter and the pick 6 with just under 2 minutes to go destroyed any shot of pulling out the win...if this was the best team maplewood can put on the field i dont expect them to advance again...ive seen 3 or 4 teams from 4A in our area that could take them down...they are 1 dimensional at best...surely this wasnt the same team that gave greeneville a run last year...

I'm guessing that the three or four 4A teams in your area that could take down Maplewood does not include Liberty Tech. Perhaps Maplewood had a bad night last night as much as you say Liberty Tech did. They may not have played their best game either. Then again, sometimes two well matched teams give the impression of playing poorly when playing each other. The LSU-Alabama game is a recent exmaple.

didnt want to go all into details ...but your view seems to differ from mine ..like 88%

#1 refs were terrible second half maplewood has a 15 - 0 lead refs tossing flags like it was there last game ..they call personal fouls on maplewood ...i still dont know why?? for tackling to hard?? ... i mean this is football ...there was no other reason i saw for those flags... they keep your guys drive alive many times ...3rd and long for liberty 3rd qtr .. maplewood db has perfect coverage and breaks up the pass and you still would have been 4th and long if he had caught it ..so the back ref has no way to even see the play yet he tosses a flag... stupid if you ask me ...and they know they were wrong ...i even had the pleasure of walking in front of the whole ref crew to my car ..and you know ..they joke about ...its all funny to them ...wow ..i had to shut my mouth ...

#2 yes your guys did drop many balls --- that's not my problem ...we caught the ones we needed too thumb[1].gif

#3 maplewood defense would have shut you down had not been for those stupid calls ..they were all over you guys ..in return you guys keyed on our RB every play did a great job with him ...and that's what got you beat ...sometimes a decoy is all you need ....the FB pounded you guys like pizza dough ...made you dig deep in that defensive playbook of yours ... he didn't need a 100 yards ..he still got the W .....i'm sure he can live with that

how does your mighty team stack up 50+ points one week then get held to 12 ...defense played ok ??? i think it was great...

maybe that wasnt maplewoods best game .. but it was still enough to win...and that's all that matters at this point in the season ..WIN ...OR GO HOME ...so on that note go home!!!

liberty has a good team ..small and fast ...quick to the ball ... like the guy said mistakes and turnovers were key to this game ...and maplewood did the better job lastnight ...see you next year thumb[1].gif

He was at the game. He wore number 20. He was the first to congratulate the quarterback on his touchdown. He was the first to congratulate the receiver on his touchdown. He was the first to run on the field and congratulate the defensive back on his touchdown. He was the individual that spoke to the team after the game. He started off by stating that if teams think that the way to beat us is to shut me down, they got another thing coming. He thanked the offensive line for going hard on every play. Those are the characteristics that makes this kid amazing. Stats on the field just makes him a great highschool football player. What the kid has on the inside makes him amazing. If this is not enough information for you to figure out who the amazing running back was, I got one more piece of information for you. He is about 5 feet 6 inches and a hundred and 160 pounds. He was that small kid that lowered his shoulder and ran the kid over on the last kick off. The kid after getting ran over didn't know if he was in Nashville,Jackson, or Cookeville. I hope I was able to help you to recall that amazing running back being at the game.

any RB stats for the unstoppable guy...nah didnt think so...never said he wasnt a great person...just an overrated back...same as all the rest...and it was the kicker...the kicker...more like 5'4 and 140...

    • I have no issues with the Karns Middle School program.   Good coaches and he's with the kids he goes to school with.  He's a rising 6th grader who had to play with 6th grade kids last year because Karns didn't have enough kids for a 5th grade age team.  He's in a good place at this point.   My daughter is a single mom with 4 kids under 11 years old.  We help her out with logistics, so staying in our own area right now is important.  Once he gets to high school age, who knows what happens?  That bridge will be crossed when we get there.
    • I know he was a backup but I thought he filled in well when the starter went down. Never a bad thing to have a change of pace back
    • That would be a good get for them. Lowe always finds a way. Pretty sure they have their Rb from last year returning but not that line of beef
    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
