Merely an opinion of yours, backed up by no facts.

Yes your right,It is an opinion. But with alot of facts aswell. The proof is in the pudding guy's,Some of you on here act like you haven't been to a game in the last three years. How does a school with talent at the school drop off so bad,in the weakest district in the state?

Well this is the year I will have to eat my words BC93. I said that we should win seven or eight games this year. I am leaning towards seven but you never know what momentem can do. I have noticed that you have made the comment that Armstrong is a good coach, and I agree with your statement. The basketball team has had a tough go of it this year. What is the difference, you have not bashed him?

No,And I'm not going too!Armstrong is a great man and coach and has proven he can win ballgames, even with less talent in some years.Josh Goodin has proven NOTHING.

There is also some great men on the football staff too. Fair enough on the Armstrong comment, and I feel that this year Goodin has an opportunity to prove himself as well. If not, I will concede. I am just saying that it seems you have wanted him gone since day one. I have also noted that they were 7-3 his first year. Talent is creeping back in after a 2 year fall off. We will just see.

We all know what kind of guy Doug is. So why get on here and start your b.s.? "If it hurts, they will roll over"..... how many years in prison did you spend??

This is what I am talking about guys, why are we so hard on coaches good or bad? Society I guess - quick gradificaton. Do you know how much time coaches put into our kids. Coaches have to neglect their families, worry about things concerning kids, act as Dad's, I could go on and on. What for? To have some person that has no clue of what is really going on in the program. Do we think these guys are trying to lose? I don't think so. All coaches start out novice i,e. making bad choices, not handling situations the way they should be handled, or even handling kids correctly. This is why I am not so quick to judge. Your right some never pan out BC93, but I can almost bet that you were not the top starting out. Time and experience makes us better, don't you think. I think Armstrong is a good guy and has had a good career, but like all coaches have had their ups and downs. Goodin may never turn out to prove himself but I am not going to bash him or any other coach for that matter, because I have been in the business for 18 years. I have hurt for kids that I cared for because they were not playing as much as they should and believe or not some of them have been my favorite kids. I have been confronted by parents, yelled at, called an idiot, and been told I am terrible. I have also been told I am great, the best coach their child has ever had. I have felt the glory of being a champion and the pain of winning just one game in a year. Funny thing is that some of my losing seasons were some of my most successful years. We are in the business of winning, I agree. We are also in the business of teaching life values and success for life. Bottom line to my little novel, a man should never bash a coach until they have walked in their shoes - cliche or not, this statement is true. So the next time your fingers are pushing these buttons, examine your self and your thoughts remembering that some people are the problem when they should be working to be the solution.

    • Clinton fans can only wait and set idle while the school is being drug through the mud and trying to figure out when they have finally hit the bottom.
    • Mancoverage sez: Thank you for weaving, with the written word, such a descriptive tapestry of your mind’s sherlockian thought machinations. It read’s as though it is the collaborative brain child of Thomas “The Ox of Sicily” Aquinas and John “Give Him 6!” Ward. Somewhere in this, the thoughtful mind will find, the exact future of Trousdale County Football. The Goat sez: Ox?!? Pffft. I can do stuff a dumb ole bull can do. I can take an “a” and I can take an “o” and I can do better and more of that bull stuff… in Latin. Diarrhoea Fecaes  The next coach of ole Snoball’s Yeller Jackets, ain’t on that list.
    • One school gets fined over $4,000 dollars because they had a baseball coach that gets ejected over a rule that is not in the rule book today (because no umpires in Tennessee called that rule when that coach was ejected). One school will get fined over $3,000 dollars because they had a football coach intentionally cheated. I hope TSSAA keeps a receipt over what schools they fined and how much, and for what reason. Meanwhile, if I'm a football coach at a school that has $3,000+ in the piggy bank, then hmmm.. No one knew Clinton was cheating intentionally until they went overboard and changed over 1,000 grades, and the word got out.

    • I just learned of this today and am very happy for Coach Peek. Excellent coach, better man.
