What studs did clarksville Academy have? What college s are they playing at now?

Malcolm and Martin Smith. Malcom is playing at Lipscomb if I'm not mistaken and he has been doing great, especially for it to be his freshman year. I'm pretty sure nobody let Malcolm get away, I just don't know much about what he did after high school. They both were awesome to watch, just didn't want your team to play against them. Lol

You must have missed the part where I said we beat the AA State Champs in the Regular Season. How many Memphis teams were in AA that didnt beat Union City that year?

I hope BTW blows Perry County out and continue to press, just because of you. You act like a kid that gets bullied all the time, that ran home from school everyday. I think you have short man's syndrome, the need to feel tough, because girls use to beat you up. Real champions talk about "NOW". Perry County doesn't have a "NOW" factor. They are a has been. Period! I hope Newby dunks on Perry County likes this. Edited by nebuntyn

Perry County went farther than BTW last year, and as far as they are this year. Thats about as now as it gets.

Wow, that's really not necessary. This site isn't for bullying, it's for discussions and open debates. If you can't handle a simple statement that they beat someone I'm guessing y'all didn't, you really shouldn't be on here. The fact he stated was to show how good PC can be and to say that they can run with AA teams. If you don't agree, fine. But personal attacks are just childish.

In fact, The enrollment dropped significantly this year due to the demolition of the Cleaborne Homes housing project. It threatened the schools closing. and I believe the enrollment is about 530. And that doesn't even matter. 100, 300, or 600. We all qualify for TSSAA Class A. Gotta man up and play ball. Some class AAA teams have 2,500 students and some have 1,500. They still have to man up. No excuses

That is not the point. The point was there were claims BTW could not have avoided Power Center, other charters, etc, when clearly they could have.

hmmmm Clarksville Academy rings a bell from last year and we only lost 1 starter...so yeah we can cope with "talent"

I wish Malcolm and Martin could come back to play BTW this year and show them that talent exist outside the city of Memphis. Every team left is talented and have their own unique strengths.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
