I'm trying to think of TN wrestlers who have gone on to play football in college. Since I haven't been around too long I can only think of a few examples, but maybe you guys can add to my list

 

Jabari Tuani- United States Naval Academy, state runner up from BA

Ben Bartholomew- University of Tennessee, state champ from MBA

Ryan Carrethers- Arkansas State University, State Champ from BA

Tripp Thomas- Missouri Valley College, State Placer from Cordova

David Helton- Duke University, State Champ, State Runner Up from Baylor

John Mackey- Furman University, State Champ, State Runner Up from Baylor

 

Well that's all I can think of real quick, I'm sure just asking around I could find some more. It's still a good enough list to convince coaches that wrestling helps

Courtney Coffee played football at the University of Kentucky for two years I believe until he transferred to...I wanna say Appilachain St to wrestle but I'm not sure. He won d-2 twice I think at PJP2 and transferred to Centennial and was a runner up.

Scott Wells BA then UT now with the Rams. Was with the Packers

 

Bubba Millerr BA then UT many years in the pros. Both 2 time state champs.
