Antwan
Will the record have an asterick* since it took 5 years to break a 4 year record? I think Megan pitched 5 years also. Great accomplishment for both.
Softball1001
I think Megan pitched 5 years also. Great accomplishment for both. You are probably right because the numbers are crazy for a 4 year record. Not impossible but almost.

FridayMainEvent
They both pitched 5 years. Still an outstanding accomplishment for her
Seriously?? So this whole debate is tainted... Who has the record excluding 8th grade then?
N2Fastpitch
There is not much of a debate really looks as if Megan accomplished her record in five years and Lindsey broke it in five. TSSAA recognizes these players who get to play in 8th grade as high school students so this is a high school record. Meganin4years should have got your facts straight before you spoke. So it's apples to apples now...Sorry about your sour grapes.
YellowBall
Here's another interesting fact about this record...Megan pitched her entire career from 40ft and Lindsey has had to go from 43ft for part of her career. So now we might be back to apples and oranges again at least for part of it.
goosevol
At 40 feet, Fadnek would have 2,000 probably right now
N2Fastpitch
Lindsey added (13) more tonight with a region win over Midway to bring her total 1841 and counting. Keep it going Lindsey !!! dogs22
Midway, really? This whole thread is a joke. She is a good pitcher, give credit where credit is due, but put her in a higher classification the numbers would be significantly less, thats cold hard fact. N2Fastpitch
Dogs22, you haven't been paying attention to anything that has been said. I will say it once again...Coalfield has played numerous games out of their classification. Teams such as Seymour, Mt. Juliet who I believe finished 3rd and 4th in the state last year in AAA, Unicoi Co who has been a very strong team for several years in AA and many others, check their schedule out. Out of the 43 games they have played this year only 20 of those have been against single A teams. Those games are have to plays because of district and region play. All other games have been played up. The cold hard facts are as is, she has played against some of the best in the state and against some of the best in the country in the summer and has had great success over the years. So the jokes on you for not checking your facts before you speak. Edited May 17, 2012 by N2Fastpitch
3rdbasecoach
I know one fact that is true. I've seen most, if not all these girls throw and I'd take Soddy's Nunley or Riverdale's Albritton in a second over Fadnek. They do it against the best competition day in and day out. You don't see their moms and dads shamelessly promoting their princess on here. It getting to be a joke. And Midway? Come on!
N2Fastpitch
3rdbasecoach, you didn't listen either. Midway is a team that Coalfield has to play because they are in the same region and that's what it takes to advance. I'm not her dad or mom or anyway related to Lindsey. She doesn't need promoting by anyone, she takes care of things on the field and has done so for five years now. I'm not saying she hasn't had some off times in the past just like every other pitcher who has thrown a softball. You pick who you want, but I'll take Lindsey any day on any team and compete with the best. She has proven that!!!
