Region 5AA Final White House Vs Goodpasture

Would love to hear thoughts on this one. Two of the best pitchers face off tonight in W.H. Niki Fogle and GP's Mimi Cartwright. Should come down to who makes the elast errors.

The only chance Goodpasture has of winning this game is for the Lady Blue Devils to "lay down" like they did in the District 9AA championship game...at least that's what White House Coach Cindy Towers said cost them the game last week! To quote Coach Towers...“I think we just took for granted in the second ballgame that we already had our berth in regions...We were more satisfied with that than trying to win a district championship...â€

I know opinions don't matter but top to bottom Goodpasture is better, and I hope they have chip on their shoulder.

Have to agree with the guru on his assessment...I think the team with the least errors wins. I know the Cougars have a lot of respect for White House, but I'm not so sure if it is reciprocated by the Lady Devils. Hope nobody gets hurt, and that both teams win Friday to get in the State Tourney!

Wow! What a classic game. Hats off to White House and Niki Fogle she will be missed for sure. Congrats to Mimi Cartwright for being a warrior tonight pitched a awesome game only giving up 1 run in 10 innings. It was a great game and both sides left everything out on the field. Special night for our seniors Britt Elmore and Madelyn Hill thanks for being great leaders and never giving up on your team. I am thankful my daughter has players like you two to mentor her and help her be a better player. Keep it going Lady Cougars nobody thought we would get this far but you can't stop a team that beats with one heart. Let's finish the job and win Friday vs Camden. I wish White House luck Friday and hope they get a win and we can have two teams from our district represented in the State Tourney!

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
