This was a close game last year at Greeneville, SH will get the equalizer at home. This is Carter's 3rd year at Science Hill. Marked improvement will need to be seen.

 

In other games, I'll go Boone over Betsy, North over the falcons, Happy Valley over Central, TN High frakking Johnson County on the mountain, Enka over South, and East over Crockett.

What fun would that be. It's not disrespect, i feel bad for the other Conference teams. To start each season knowing that the best you can achieve is 2nd place in your own Conference. I bet it's hard to get excited about that, huh?

DB Should win the Conference every single year.

Science Hill should finish 2nd every single year.-Will never win under Stacy Carter

Tenn High- 3rd- They usually have a couple athletes to rely on.

Boone 4th- Had a very good team last year but that won't happen year in and year out.

South 5th-only because they are losing numbers and will probably move down next year.

Volunteer, Central, Crockett- Well, it's hard to decide which is worse. Poor Volunteer will never get any better as long as they have Rider as head coach. Central players leave to play at South or Tenn. High and Crockett will just be Crockett. Tell me i'm wrong. Roll Tribe!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

Okay . . . Since we’re having fun talking s*#!. I will agree with most of your post dbFan91, except for "DB should win the conference every single year." In my mind, DB and Science Hill should be trading licks year in and year out. There should never be long stretches of winning and losing streaks between these two.

You know, the dang one and done crap has gotten beyond old. Most of the other Sisters of the Weak Conference would love to trade places. And your right, i should save the predictions for later. Man this is a slow start on Coach T this year.

I will say the Big 8 will go 5-3 this week, you fill in the blanks.

I have no clue on most of these teams, merely relying on my ever fading memory from last year.

The Betsy - Boone game or the DB-Farragut would be my pick for game of the week.

Agree and disagree...

 

Agree that during the preseason that most of the outlook for the next year is based upon the talent level of the team and the presumed confidence in the competency of the coaching staff and would say that your top five will shuffle year to year but remain the same if the two above factormis stay the same.

 

Disagree that every team comes in shooting for second. I would say that there are 4 teams that would say they have a shot this year DB, SH, South, and Boone. And i would say that most conferences shake out that way. There are teams that will never win unless drastic changes take place and there are a couple teams that can surprise you and some will be going for the championship. I will make one prediction....

 

DB will lose to one team in the Big 8 this year but like i said before I will hold my predictions for future games til a later time.

Boone by 7 They have to stop Turner and score at least 28.

Knox F. by 3 DB gets up early but GC thinks its October and falls asleep in the 2nd half.

GDevils By 7 SH looks good on paper but they are soft like butter

TH can pick their score

Enka by 14 south would you just move down already so we don't have to hear your whining anymore

HV by 10 Same for Central see above

SE by 10 Crockett is pitiful as usual

I don't know who Volunteer plays but they will lose by at least 14
