Week 0, the Tigers come to The Dungeon for the first time. All I know about this years Macon team is that they have a new head coach and I saw that Portland beat them in a recent scrimmage. Didn't they graduate several from last years team that pretty much dominated JB last year?

Good luck to the red devils this year.

Y'all too. Hope we have a playoff thread in 13 or 14 weeks

Jo Byrns wins

Hope you're right! I think they have a chance this time around with Macon Co based on all the factors involved, but they will have to have the same "want to" they showed against Portland and without the mental mistakes.

Yeah according to a tread on the 3a-4a board, Macon Co. is way down this year. Portland beat MC 39-0 in a scrimmage and based on our scrimmage against Portland, JB looks to be at least on par with them. I've got to go with JB in this one...maybe 21-7ish??? It's tough to be real certain though. JB has a lot of new player and MC did put a beatdown on us last year.

This will be the best shot for Macon Co to win a game this year. If this happens to be a game where MC doesn't even compete then it could be a long season in Lafayette...

Sycamore didn't look very good in the East Robertson Jamboree. I thought JB looked better than them...

In my opinion, from the jamboree Macon County looked mediocre against an up and coming Wilson Central team. My thoughts on Macon Co are as follows; even though football is a team sport, Macon Co seems one dimensional; stop the Qb, win the game. He was definitely their most effective player and was football quick. What he doesn't do on his scrambles is keep his head on a swivel and had it handed to him a couple times against Central, from his blind side. If JB can contain him, then Macon could go 0- for on the season because better defenses will have no trouble shutting him down.
