Cleveland & Bradley play in a weak district. Cleveland had a hard time this summer scoring. Bradley may have tall post but will be un-tested and all guards with questionable skills. Also because they will play a soft out of district schedule.

I agree with most of this but I can't speak of thier schedule. I haven't seen it young guards will have to grow up quick.

Why do you all think Bradley will not be one of the top teams? They are always in Substate or Regions. Anyone who can get that far has to be a good team. As for growing quick?? They have until Febuary.

I never said I didn't think they would be top ten I agreed about guard play anybody that knows Bball understand if you don't have guards who can handle the pressure and distribute the ball it's hard to win I've seen them. It will take a little more than the end of the year for some of the guards to develope the one who I thought would help this year might be hurt not sure just heard that. The other guards I've seen are just about average and can't really shoot outside that well especially if you guard them. No secret thier post are real good. One might even bring the ball up court or help. The other can play d really well and both are juniors. I look for next year to be a real good year for them but who knows I think we are still chasing middle and west tn in 3a ball

"(Riverdale has) multiple new faces, including eight freshmen, a transfer from Atlanta in junior guard Shanique Heard, Mt. Juliet transfer post Brandy Alley and East Hamilton transfer guard Tiffany Lewis."

That's on top of future Division 1s Middleton, Davenport, Petty, Jones and other returnees being a year older. They should be better than last year which is saying a lot, even without Barbee.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
