This is a good game to come outa the bye week with. Oneida should be able to practice some line-ups and plays they wouldn't normally try. I agree with crow that Oakdale will play with pride, class and character which brings honor to themselves and their school. Man, I have to say I will be looking hard at that Greenback vs Grace contest.

Ditto, Smash. That game is going to say a lot. And I hope we can expand the offensive playbook somewhat. I know one has to cook mostly what they have (a solid rushing attack), but there is nothing wrong with adding a little spice (passing) to the food!huh.png Of course that is also why they don't pay me the big bucks! I know the coaches aren't village idiots.....the boys are making progress and that has been a good thing.

I love it when ESPN was talking with Coach Quarles at Maryville and he said he very rarely speaks to his team about winning. It's all about toughness, consistancy, smart team football. Man Kaz, Oneida looks much better since the first of the year, light years from the spring but there is still room to improve and still a lot of great challenges to come.

Yeah, we need to pass some, true. But we all know this is TL's 6 game. I hear ya bout NOT coaching from the stands...or the computer. Only the coaches know what is what, best to let them call the game!

Pass, run, I dont care if the Offense duck walks! Make the tackle, Make the block, no fumbles....Dont need any heros, just 11 kids doing their jobs all night long.

This game is perfect to test the mental toughness of Oneida. The Indians should come out tomahawks blazing and put it away quick. That shows the Indians took the game seriously, practiced hard and played with pride, class and character. I am 100% sure Oakdale will do everything legal to disrupt the game and get a win. That's the way it's supposed to be...play to your potential!

Just for the record, I played football at a school half the size of Oakdale. We had 106 students, Total! 9-12th grades. So I know first hand what it's like to fight Goliath. (actually won a few too!)

I would have to think the balance would have to improve if oneida is going to make a deep run in the playoffs. Unless they are just that dominate up front. Good luck the rest of the year.

You have a very good point, but more than x's or o's, Oneida needs to focus on playing sharp all game long. Win or loose, good or bad, rain or snow. Just have fun and play hard all four quarters.

And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.

Not much shot to win a state title at Macon but could very well be a contender with the talent coming up through the peewee and junior high ranks in TC I hear. He my dark horse candidate. trousdale co fans could also brag to their neighbors that they talked their best coach into coming to TC on a year of such high expectations at Macon co.
