Wow dis here game was darn good. Just face it dat da green boys just better!

Da call on Watertown td was correct. Personal foul on da green team during play. Den unsportsmanship on da purple team dead ball. Purple declined personal foul and took da td. Den the unsportsmanship penalty marked off on star try.

Does the purple team not have a kicker

Actually, they marked off the penalty against FC half the distance to the goal then marked off the one against Watertown 15 yards. The penalty was after the score. I don't think accepting the penalty would have taken the touchdown off the board.

Actually the personal foul(probably should have been a flagrant) was due to Watertown's #22 player being hit while in the endzone (Watertown best Wide Reciever and DB on Watertown's third possession of the game and possibly ending this young man's season), and the unsportsmanlike penalty was for the Watertown player calling the cheapshot individual a name so both occurred at the same time after the TD after the play offsetting penalties, but according to the referees the enforcement was on the extra point which for one team was half the distance from the 3 and the other 15 yard from the one and half(not much of an offset if you ask me). Earlier in the same possession #56 in a scrambling situation got his knee taken out by an opposing players lineman (Watertown's best defensive player and second best offensive lineman) occured earlier in the same possession, and #40 got hurt before week one and tried playing on a hairline fractured ankle that he thought was just a sprain for two weeks and was a 3 year starter at LB, punter, kicker, and H back. Those injuries, turnovers, and bad not fielding the kickoffs hurt Watertown's chances of being more competitive.

The hit by FC was uncalled for, I agree. I hope #22 is okay. It is a very intense rivalry. Even though Watertown has not put up a challenge in several years, the close proximity of these two teams makes everyone go all out, sometimes beyond the limits. Give both sides credit for playing with heart.

Hated to hear 22 was injured seriously. He is a weapon for sure. 56 injured himself trying to peel back on an FC defensive lineman & there was nothing malicious on FC's part involved in his injury. The way he was getting blocked by FC's line seemed to hurt his feelings. As bailey stated this is an in county rivalry and both teams showed that it meant a lot by their hard play & effort.

As for the referees having any outcome in the game "c'mon man" FC put up 68 pts. Your fumbles were mainly because FC was sticking the purple tigers like they hadn't been hit previously with their lite early season schedule.

I was lookin forward to seein that fc qb he is way overrated i thought he was d1 no where near that good

Why would he need to throw the ball when Friendship could line up and run it right down Watertowns throat. Yes he would love to have the passing stats, but more important he wants to win the game. With FCS having 408 rushing yards for the game I don't see that there is any need to throw the football. There is more to being a D1 QB than throwing the football!

Sorry, I went to the braves game last night and watched them get hosed by the umpires, looks like we tried to make this look like a SP game lol what were AJ's stats?

Yeah I seen that, didn't realize that the infield fly rule expanded to the outfield now, I believe the NFL replacement refs were the umpires for that game...

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
