WG wins in OT 33-27... WG had a 4 yd drive and a 10 yard drive! That makes it pretty rough on a defense! Penalty at the end of regulation, personal foul (questionable) on CD... Which is soppused to be 1 untimed down in regulation, instead was enforced at the start of OT so CD only possession in OT started from the 25. BUT WG took care of business on their possession, and got the deserved win! Am I saying now that they are the better team? They were tonight. Congrats.

I have watched WG play for the last 3 or 4 games, now, and it's like I have told people around me that ask. I have picked WG in all of those games solely because their defense has been improving at an incredible rate over the past month. Offense had been a struggle at the beginning of the year for the Buffs, but they began to do enough to stay in games. Now, I understand that Malone had 200+ yards, yes, but West Greene was able to keep Chuckey-Doak's hopes relying solely on him. I don't care how good you are, it's hard to win a football game when it's 11 against 1. Overall, this was one of the best football games I've seen in High School in recent memory. As for the penalty, the call on the field (if in fact it was a Personal Foul - Late Hit Out-of-Bounds) was correct. The rule states that if the two teams are tied the penalty does, in fact, carry over to OT. However, if the game is not tied and thelosing team is on offense, there should be one, untimed down. Ergo, if the losing team is on defense the game is over.

I said the team with the fewest mistakes would win this one. Looks likt the biggest mistake came at the end of the game with the personal foul. It's a shame but it's part of the game. Great win for the Buffs.

I replied the night of the game! Pretty sure I said somethin like... Congrats West Greene.

Still a Doak faithful, Still wear my yellow and black every Friday, just like my orange on Saturday, just like my Titan blue on Sunday. Still believe every time we suit up we have a chance to win! That's sports, that's bein a fan. If you lose faith in your team after 1 loss you were never a fan in the first place. If it makes you feel better I can post it again! Good win WG.

Would you prefer CD fans got on a thread about CD vs WG and conceeded the game! If you aren't confident in your team, go get another one. They probably don't want you anyway! So there is no sudden burst in confidence. Week in and week out I have full faith that The Black Knights are going to win. That's called being a fan! I'm smart enough to know that sometimes you are just outgunned, (last week) but even at that there is a chance. "That's why they play the games."

Read it again, I said "at max speed" meaning he gets to his fastest speed quicker than most! Meaning, he is explosive. Which means a ton in football! He is fast enough that no one around here is gonna run him down on a motorcycle if he gets loose! Argue till the cows come home on this if you want to buddy... It is factual!!!!!!

Oh my goodness, I just saw this post..The fact that you believe Malone is that fastest back around means that you must be a "narrow-minded fan" because I can think of about 5 kids off the top of my head that would run him down in a split second that play for local teams. Its one thing to be a diehard fan, its another to Blindly believe your kids are the best in the area. Probably thought UT was going to win Saturday too huh? Cause no one can catch Patterson or Hunter right??

Yep, you got me... Narrow minded. Again, I NEVER said he was the fastest!!! I said he gets to HIS max speed faster than any around. Not Usain Bolt's max speed. It is hard to believe ANYONE who knows jack about football does not understand that I am talking about his explosiveness not his straightline speed. Which is up there too. Have you seen this kid??? I have seen plenty of HS football up close and in different classifications. You can argue ALL you want... the kid is quick! You know he has managed to accumulate over 1500 yards this season, but I'm sure that is due to our poor strength of schedule. I never said we would win solely because of Malone, I said we would win because I feel like we have the better team. I am not discounting WG's victory, but I still believe we have the better team. I was under the impression I was allowed to be confident in my team on this site. And you are wrong, I thought UT would beat the number one ranked team in the country because Dooley was back on the sideline and not in the box. (Complete sarcasm for you there before you call me out on my blindness again.)
