Can PC get in the playoffs with a win in this game?

No they can't. PC is done. Even if they win, Wayne County (McEwen and maybe 1 or 2 others) would still rank ahead of them in the wildcard rankings.

The Playoff Scenario: 21 teams have already won 5+ games. They are all in the playoffs. As of now:

22. Halls (4-5)

23. McEwen (3-6)

24. Wayne County (3-6)

Still in the hunt: Cornersville, Sunbright, and Red Boiling Springs all at (3-6). Chattanooga Grace is not mathematically eliminated at (2-7) because of SOS, but they need to upset their last opponent and hope everyone else loses.

Scenarios for WC:

1. If WC wins we're in.

2. If Cornersville, Sunbright, RBS, and Chatt. Grace all lose, WC is in. Of the four teams, Cornersville will be the only one favored to win their game at Richland. Chatt. Grace and RBS are very unlikely to win their games, while Sunbright has a chance to win theirs although they're not favored. If only one of the aformentioned teams win and WC loses, WC will not make the playoffs. McEwen has played 8 teams with a .500+ record, while we have only played 7, and McEwen would be the last team in.

Basically we need to go out and beat Perry County again if we want to be in the playoffs!

    • Same with Eisfelder from Providence not even getting a look in DII 1A.   But to me the biggest head scratcher is Collins from Lookout Valley. He wasn't even voted the best pitcher or player on his own team, a team that lost like 20 baseball games. Mind blowing.
    • Whispers abound suggesting that Robbie Atwood has been observed surreptitiously shadowing the erstwhile football coach on numerous occasions. Does such conduct align with the standards of acceptability?
    • Is it conceivable that BJ West will maintain his ardor if it necessitates forgoing attendance at his progeny's culminating year of scholastic endeavors? Such a scenario appears implausible upon closer scrutiny.
    • Wartburg heading to state for the first time in school history. Braylen Melton (sophomore) threw a 1 hitter today against North Greene.
    • I havent kept up with Keeton since he went to Oakland, so hearing he is in a BOE role now, that may trump him coming back.  Rennard on the other hand. That dude is a Man Builder! And he was cut loose this spring from Scotts Hill. Heard him in a interview a few months back and he inspired me. He needs to be back home in the Purple & Gold, regardless of if he is HC or not or even if he doesnt coach at all, his presences will improve the environment. But Again, I have no clue if he would even be interested.
