Top Class-A Players?

There are a lot of good young talents coming from Class-A in the state. Who are the standouts and soon to be breakthrough players?

Zamarrio Griffin - point guard or shooting guard very quick good ball handler. BTW. And Alante Milam from BTW plays 1,2 or 3 position. He slasher and one of best depender in state. By far will be the best one and two punch in the state. By time will tell. Trinity Christian School had some good guard last year but don't know if they were returning.

Marcus Deberry of Union City will have a breakout year.He is a 6'3 Sophomore. Also watch for Donte Simpson and Malik Stockdale,also sophomores as UC will get back to their uptempo game this year.

Allen Heaston of Friendship Christian will have to be a big player this year. He is a returning All-State and State Champion but with most of last years Friendship Christian team gone, he will have to be an even bigger player than he was last year. If he gets a half open lane to the rim, he will take it all night

Class A really does not have any standouts this year that I am aware of...

 

It will be extremely tough to come up with three for Mr. Basketball...

Alex Fountain, Will be first team all state for sure, Hes 6'8 and can take it coast to coast. He should be one of the finalist for sure. Of course hes from East Tn and from a public school and im sure u guys think it has to come from Memphis or west of Nashville.

The Alex Fountain kid is a BEAST, he should be a lock for Mr. Basketball in 1A. I was really shocked and impressed by his size and skill set.

I forgot about the Fountain kid from Wartburg... Do they have either of the other two big guys back...?

 

He will probably win the Class A mr. Basketball...However, I was not impressed as the only outing I saw from him was against a Perry County beat down...

Yea they have a couple 6'6 kids to go along with him. They have a couple decent guards, but sadly, Alex may be the best guard on team. Hes a credit to what hard work can do if your willing to sacrifice a bit. He has worked so hard from a clumsy freshman to a guy thay can get a rebound and go coast to coast. He has really improved his J too. He will prolly make 50 three's this season. Good kid too.

Tyler Cunningham and Johnny Bailey of White House Heritage come to mind along with Marquese Bell of East Robertson. Tyler will make the Heritage folks forget about Jordan Bedwell quickly. Good Luck Patriots!
