How is halls up front.. we have some big strong boys and a very well balanced offense . Our defense is nasty and doesn't allow much passing . Our option also is based on the fullback up the middle not the outside . We spread the wealth around mixing it up well.. I just don't know what offense halls runs now but I don't feel they have the athletes and depth.. and don't think we do waker but can put another up next week if ya'll visit us again and watch the 3rd round

does halls still run that "nascar" offense?

Halls has an impressive looking team. They have good size on the line and can be explosive at times. I dont think they can stop the triple option though. That takes discipline. Not saying they are not disciplined as in an uncoached way. More like a "chasing rabbits" way. Just do what you do with that offense and when they start chasing rabbits exspose them on the corners. WC pulls away in the 2nd half. Halls has not been in a 2nd round playoff game in many years. Advantage WC.

Well I can say that I have been impressed by West Carroll's victory over Huntingdon and even the losses against South Gibson and Dresden. When you compare the competition (Gleason, South Fulton, Greenfield and Gibson County) we have each played, we both have had the same results although it did take us the second try to beat the Bulldogs.

We scrapped the Tony Franklin spread offense in the offseason to go back to our offense of old days: the I formation. We have some good size up front and have two backs with completely different looks coming out of the tailback position: one with speed and one with muscle. I like to call them thunder and lightning. Lightning scored three times last week including a fumble return on defense. We moved one of our bigger linemen from last year to fullback and he is currently playing his best ball of the season. We don't throw it much but we have a guy out there that I would put up against just about anybody in the area. He is a hoss when he gets it in his hands. Our QB is pretty deceptible and earns his share of rushing yards too.

On defense we are suseptible to the pass but do a pretty good job against the run. I would agree though with Swo that we have our issues with stopping anything out of the ordinary in the opponent's backfield. We had no clue against Union City's veer, but most teams struggle against it. Our biggest issue with them is the name on the jersey. Nothing against West Carroll as is probably the same for you, but I don't see that being a problem with our guys tomorrow night.

I was quite confident of a win last week at Gleason; made my only prediction of the year concerning Halls. This week is a toss-up but our kids (our TOWN) are all fired up and ready so just about anything is possible. Look forward to it tomorrow! Good luck to both squads and pray for no injuries.

Appreciate the details tiger.. last time we played halls was a scrimmage when I played and they ran the no huddle spread.. kinda happy to see them get away from that.. I don't think we could handle the hurry up this year like we did then.. I expect a big trench battle according to your statement on lineman . Should be a run dominant game.. we may throw a little.. usually makes big plays.. we have a 6' 4'' guy out wide and our backs have good hands but they have better legs.. don't think ya'll will see anyone really impressive but we play as a team and get it done.. backs always run, lineman always block

Tigers by 10! Go Tigers!!! If Halls can stop that little pass in the flat, and turn the option inside, West Carroll will be the same West Carroll of old. Yall still got that score up?

what do you mean we will be the West Carroll of old? its safe to say in the last decade plus we've fielded better teams that Halls not including this year yals best record since 1993 is 5-6 a few times,Since 2000 we've had a three 8 win teams with even 9 and 10 win teams not including this year of course with much more playoff success than Halls Edited by WestCarrollFan
