Don't know how the HS team is but heard the Jr High was loaded. Could be very good in future unless Lamar steals a bunch. He has been doing it for years....so it wouldn't surprise anyone.

York won at Whitwell by 5. Whitwell is a scrappy bunch, has a 2 or 3 good shooters and press just about throughout but York had more height and probably more physical strength inside. They struggled early against the press but got things figured out, beat it quite often, really probably could have won by more if not for a lot of missed layups. Whitwell had some chances late but the threes wouldn't fall. #45, I believe, probably had about 25 for York.

As far as York players go, there is no zoning in Fentress Co. Therefore, students can choose C-range or York. Most stay close, but can you blame them for going to a winning program. No stealing happening there.

In fact, Atkinson went to York after being a product of the south end of the county her whole life.

What is the rule on players from one school switching to the other in Fentress Co?

Should be the same as most anywhere else, entering ninth graders could play at either, transfers without a bona fide change of address have to sit out a year. Being in one area of the county in eighth grade and another in ninth wouldn't be a transfer. At other places the local school zoning rules would figure into it, doesn't seem like it would in Fentress.
