Grant it I wasn't at the game due to another prior engagement, but I was getting updates. To me it sounded like Hixson was flat the whole game. It was tied til late in the 3rd then Soddy opened it up when Hixson fumbled. They said Soddy was connecting on almost every pass and Hixson didn't have an answer. Congrats to Coach Barnes on his first win at Soddy.

Congrads to SD. I went to the SD/WB scrimmage and could tell Soddy was tougher and more organized than people were giving them credit for.

No disrespect to Soddy or Hixson and a big congrats to SD..but whats the deal?? All we heard all off season and pre season was Hixson is the team to beat and SD is in a state of confusion. All SD fans on these boards talked about was how the whole program is in a mess and this coach is not the answer. Is Hixson down? Is SD a big time turn around winning team? Are both teams in a bad state? This is just a shock here.

To hear both sides talk, it was going to be a mismatch...........but that's why they play on field and not on the message boards. Lol. Great win and something to build on for Soddy.

Man dont throw stones yet. We should only be worried about Red Bank right now. You must not have been at the game because the transfer was at the game pulling for Soddy and was actually on the field with Maynor after the game congratulating him. He is a good kid and there is no reason to be on here trying to start this crap and try to take the attention away from what Coach Barnes and his staff accomplished the other night. Saturday was a great win for Soddy. Even though Hixson looked like a team that could possible not win a game this year IMO. Soddy should beat Red Bank but after that it gets very tough starting with Ooltewah for their first district game. Great job Saturday Trojans and dont let people like ROBC take the attention off of where it needs to be which is the next game.

Wow, sounds like a true fan. What happened to that 35 points that The "Top 10" Hixson was supposed to put up? Don't count out that SD defense. Mostly seniors (9) starters

 

It was no disrespect to soddy. I dont think very many fans looking in on the program saw them dominating hixson in the second half. Just expected hixson to be ready to play. Hope they come out the same way vs red bank.
