TO338 get real. The guy who called the #120 Baylor vs CB made the correct call pressure was being applied up towards the head/shoulder that is illegal he verbally told the CB kid to keep it legal to no avail he called it and stopped the match when pressure went up. Yes the Baylor kid hopped right up to continue, and the coach made him take the injury default win, hardly the refs fault for making the correct call. By the way I saw him check with his assistant ref who confirmed the illegal call.

Boy I hate to carry on this argument in two places but I suppose I will post one more time.

We can agree to disagree on whether there was any pressure parallel to the long axis of the body but I have a hard time seeing how pressure was being applied in that direction when the top wrestler was in a position perpendicular to the bottom wrestler and driving across the bottom wrestler's body and not towards the head / shoulder (which would be parallel to he long axis as the rulebook states).

That not withstanding, I can assure you that the main official never confirmed the call with the secondary official during the match. I have watched the film for this exact action and there is no discussion between the two from the time the penalty is called and the match is ended at the handshake. The secondary official remained in the center of the mat with the wrestlers the entire time.

You have called me out on two threads, so I feel a response is necessary. I've actually had the advantage of reviewing the film. It only affirms my opinion. That's just me "getting real."

I went back and watched the film specifically to verify your assertion that you "saw" the referee check with the assistant to confirm the illegal call.

As it turns out, you could not be more incorrect! The referee stopped the action, awarded the point, called the injury time and walked straight over to the table until he returned to raise the Baylor wrestler's hand.

Never once even looked at the other referee until after the hand was raised. Your statement is a complete fabrication!

    • Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
