Gallatin is nowhere near a top 5A team.. They won't finish higher then 6th in that district.

Gallatin will battle Beech for 9AAA. There is plenty of talent. If QB pans out, Wave could be a top 5A team. The Freshmen and Soph classes are loaded.

I do not understand the logic in this. Gallatin lost most of their skill people from last year (Banks, Campbell. The freshman team has won 2 games in the last 2 years. How are they loaded? I would agree that getting Carnes back is big and that the incoming freshman will be very good. I would also agree that they have an excellent coaching staff but do not see them competing for the district title.

Agreed.. Beech/Mt Juliet/Wilson Central/Station Camp are all above them preseason wise IMO

I need to throw in some of my Nashville teams I've seen. Overton and Hillsboro r on the come up. New players for dem bobcats and experience but Hillsboro got coaches team back in playoffs first year back. Watch out Metro might be back!

I wouldn't say Antioch will be the best team in metro at all. Plus competing in 6A now they will have a tough road to navigate to get past the first round of the playoffs there.

 

I wouldn't say metro football is back at all. You have 4 solid programs and that's it. Antioch/Overton/Hillsboro/Cane Ridge just counting the 5&6a schools.. Other then that, the teams there aren't very good.. Especially when you compare them to 6A ball in Williamson and Rutherford Counties

Haven't read otherwise. . Only coaching changes in metro i read were at Whites Creek and Hunters Lane.

If so, then I don't see any reason why Hillsboro shouldn't keep improving unless the zones have changed and they aren't getting as much talent. That was one of the best programs in the state under Blade and Aydelotte. One has to think Clayton can get them back to competing at a high level unless things have changed drasitcally.
