Comment Email PrintThe first two rounds of the Region 6-AAA individual wrestling tournament took place at Ravenwood Friday.Wrestlers from Brentwood High, Centennial, Franklin, Independence and Ravenwood competed in the regional event for their chance at earning a state tournament berth.The regional semifinals and championships are at Ravenwood on Saturday.106:Centennial's Adam Fuller earned a semifinal berth after defeating Brentwood's Brandon Hassenpflug by tech. fall (1:14) in the quarterfinals.He will take on Independence's Dillan Freisner, who advanced after defeating McGavock's Colton Briney.113:Indy's Brady Ingram moved onto the semifinals after earning a tech. fall (5:00) over Summit's Sean Butler in the quarterfinals. He will face Overton's Salih Musa.Jack Shrader (Franklin) and Tristan Roa (Brentwood) will square off in the semis after both winning by tech. fall in the quarterfinals.120:Frank Brown (Centennial) will face Bewar Mohammed (Overton) in the 120 semis, while Chip Brothers (Brentwood) and Kyle Lee (Franklin) face each other after earning victories by tech. fall in the quarterfinals.126:Charles Parsons (Ravenwood) made it to the semifinals by taking down Austin Skirvin (McGavock) by tech. fall (5:41) in the quarterfinals. He will face Antioch's Clarence Mathis, who's coming off of a 9-3 decision over Centennial's Nathan Brown.132:Franklin's Jack Holloran defeated Centennial's JeffreyIler by 12-11 decision to advance to take on Ravenwood's Chris Rowland in the semis.
