We just luv our soccer over here in da east  .............yore mo dan welcome to fire up yore beluved Middle 10 Impactdad22.....I am pretty sure that you can find sumwon over dat way to chatter with you......Hek; sumwon here on this side mite even chatter with you about it too....Booger just sayin

Cute how Booger used his little "country boy" words.

For a Mid TN top ten, I guess I would go with:

1.  Franklin

2.  Ravenwood

3.  Brentwood

4.  Father Ryan

5.  Harpeth Hall

6.  Independence

7.  Siegel

8.  Clarksville

9.  Hendersonville

10. Brentwood Academy

As 95GSoccer demonstrated in a post above, don't see many teams capable of keeping up with Franklin this year.

Mid Tenn Top Ten

1 Franklin- They always have the most players (Great rec and club soccer opportunities).

2 Ravenwood- Quality wins over Clarksville 3-2 and Siegal 1-0. Three ties vs Knoxville's top 3.

3 Clarksville- Lost 3-2 to Ravenwood. Won 5-2 in final scrimmage at Brentwood and Centennial 6-1.

4 Ryan- Wins over Siegal and Hendersonville. Preseason loss to Ravenwood. 2-2 tie with Centennial.

5 Brentwood- Defending champs.

6 Hendersonville- Defeated Siegal. Lost to Ryan.

7 Harpeth Hall- Win over Independence 3-2.

8 Siegal- State Runner-up. 2-4 record but super tough schedule outside district.

9 Brentwood Academy- Scoring lots of goals, including 4-4 tie with Brentwood.

10 Independence- Another Williamson County team with several quality players.

On the cusp: Ensworth, Beech

I would say close.

1. Still Farragut- strong overall

2. Hardin Valley - good overall

3. Oakridge - great attack

4. Bearden - haven't seen but its Bearden

5. Maryville - has some fight in them

6. West- ?

7. CAK - it's CAK and defense has some highlights.

2,3,4 I think are all close. Haven't seen West.

My Knoxville-Area rankings:

1.) Hardin Valley

2.) Bearden

3.) Farragut

4.) Oak Ridge

5.) West

6.) Maryville

7.) CAK

    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
    • No movement on Chester? South Gibson? Gibson County?
    • Winfree's senior year was the season she needed to secure more college interest. That opportunity was taken away from her. A lot of false assumptions can be made about what happened and what the options are. Unfortunately, the former coach and administration did not allow Winfree to have due process. A lawsuit was filed for a reason, and it will run its course by people who conduct discovery and take depositions. Unless the parties settle out of court, a lot of the pertinent issues will come to the public surface. I wrote about many of the issues here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/11/17/grounds-for-investigation-and-suspension/ I interviewed Winfree after she was dismissed from the team and wrote about it here: https://bdnewsletter.news/2023/12/01/a-new-interview-with-sable-winfree/ Winfree had been on teams in Warren County since the fourth grade and never been dismissed from a team. The real questions are why was Winfree dismissed from the team, and why the administration backed a coach whom they did not rehire.
    • What is the hold up here? I have not heard anything in weeks. Are they waiting for the right person or is something else going on?
