orngnblk GB and wildcats folks quite, I pick ya'll in big one contest.

harley ole buddy just aint much to say right yet,GB has looked pretty good at times then the turnover bugs bites us right in the behind. We will be very pumped for this game not a lot of love between these two teams.I expect GB to be very focused and try and get the season off to a great start.GB is big up front and the most physical i have seen them in 10yrs,but have to play disiplined and witb Coach Hicks they will.I dont know much about SW but we will and always have respected their program.Hope all stay injury free and WTD Cherokees!!

wow impressive win orngnblk

Well sweetwater got their starting QB back for this game and he is a good athlete and made some nice runs and threw the ball pretty good. Our O-line was just too stoubt for them, and sweetwater wasnt small but we were just to athletic up front.Backs ran well for us and we played a pretty physical game as did sweetwater.Bad part is may have lost an important player to an ACL tear not sure yet,my heart goes out to him and his family. We still have some bugs to work out before the Highlanders ride into town,we will have our hands full in that one for sure GP is loaded this year.

Big win tonight, but Greenback has suffered two terrible blows this week. Lost two players that have been such a huge part of this program for a long time. Hard to imagine the Cherokees without #14 and #21 on the field.

It sure will. These two are also second generation players and it will be hard on the families as well. This is a brutal gme and injuries are part of it my son missed all of the preseason fall practs and scrimmages for his injury. All we can do is pray they heal well,#21 a JR has a shot at being back late in the year but that may change when he sees the specialist.#14 is a SR.I played with the fathers of both boys and my heart goes out to both families, they were part of the Satterfield era and helped put Greenback football were it is today! Now we have to focus on the next task-GP!

    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
    • Yeah. AC brass walked in to the building at Clinton and suggested that the principal start changing grades.  Honesty, the notion that anybody at AC was involved is just idiocy.  The ones who are hurt most are the kids who weren't involved in the cheating, but still are being penalized by college admission decisions and scholarship consideration simply because they went to a school that was involved in such a scandal.
