Well done HC but we need to not put the ball on the ground as much next game. 10 aaa doesn't have much except for HC this year same old weak clarksville teams. The start of the season the Tennessean had Northeast ranked #5 in the middle Tennessee they need to wake up in Nashville. With the win over Beech HC should move to Number 1 in the state I hope.   ALL I CAN SAY IS ROLL RED ROLL

 

Take care of Northwest this week and then we have Ridgeway to look forward to. They may very well be the toughest test yet.

 

As for 10-AAA, on paper we should sweep it, but that didn't help us last year against Northeast or in 2009 against Clarksville. We can't sleepwalk through the Northeast and Rossview games.  

 

In the meantime, HC still has some things to work on. We aren't clicking on all cylinders yet.

I was at the game. I tell you this... Henry County is a class act. Nicest coaching staff I have dealt with to this date. The coaches, team, doctors, trainers, even bus drivers all class act. I believe

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
