OK Murph, if by some chance the Chiefs can pull a win against PC, will you please type out Chiefs instead of Chef's or Chumps or anything else that has been used over the years, lol.  Not sure what happened in the PC-ER game but have to admit I was a bit shocked. I think the PC-MC game will be  "pound and ground" kinda game, which defense can contain the other teams backfield.  Central had some success with that Maryland I, but the passing game needs some help.  Chargers defense is solid against the run, its the deep ball they have issues with. Not picking a winner In this one, but may be a good game.

If That ever happens, yes I'll use Chiefs, (I dont think ive ever used chumps). How about blue tornadoes?

What happened at ER ,,,, too many untimely penalties and two turnovers on the wrong side of the field. Check the game stats...

I figure it will be a spirited week of practice and the Cats will be straight by Friday.

After seeing Central scrimmage earlier this fall I was not very concerned about this game. After Polk took on Bradley's passing attack and Chatt Central's athletes I was even less concerned.

Now Polk struggles at ER, with turnovers and penalties... I'm not sure. I still think Polk beats Central, but it could be a nailbiter if Polk plays like they did at East Ridge.

Go Polk!

I think Polk in a big way. They will be hungry after Friday night.

Here is my take.  You are right in the fact that MCentral has a solid run defense.  This will be very important in this Polk battle.  It is not that MCentral's pass defense is terrible, but we faced an unbelievable Grace passsing attack.  The best I have ever seen at a high school level.  This game will be interesting and I see Polk using some trickery as they have in the past.  I think this will be a good game this year.

Very interesting game (IMO), Central has got a descent run defense...the key, IMO, can Central's defense force Polk into passing situations and if so, who wins those battles.  But if Polk can mix it up, then they should be ok.

This is why I think it will be a descent game.  Polk "0" plays to MC stregnth.  I just hope we can find a way to score.

    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
    • He was a bruise but Aaron Dykes is HVA’s best RB ever.
    • I am talking about what they both did for their team. They both carried their team for four years while they were both there. I wasn’t really comparing them that would be unfair. Bishop is on a level of his own.
