Camden is hard to explain this year. They are Loaded with talent and speed but make too many mistakes.Everyone from Huntingdon was saying Camden was down,I said if they play to their potential look out. They played well except a few stupid penaltys. If Camden makes the playoffs and they play halfway decent, someone will get a bad draw in the quads.

Hope it didn't sound like I was dissing Camden in any way. When you guys came to Fairview week one I saw a team that could easily split wins and losses with us. Mistakes like you say, were the difference.

I think i just overestimated Huntington a little because of their win over Westview. Trust me, there are several teams I'd rather play than Camden in the playoffs! ;)

Westview is pretty good this year.  The have size and are very physical.  When Milan folks say you are physical...... it is true.  Don't have the greatest amount of speed, but don't need it cause they will run over you.  They have a good coach that has lots of experience and has taken them to a championship game before.

The game against Huntingdon was a little misguided.  For one it was a rivalry game.  Those two don't like each other very much and when they get together anything is possible.  Also, Westview had several turnovers.  If they played again.... I would take Westview.

Thanks BPM. Good luck with you guys playoff run!

YELLOW JACKETS SPAY PUTTY TATS 49-0!!!

Things were rocking last night at the Lewis county high school stadium formerly referred to as "The Panther Pit". Things sparked quickly for the jackets scoring on the opening kickoff when Senior Nic Harvey took it all the way to the end zone untouched. The ensuing kickoff was a site to see when the returner for Lewis county dropped the ball and ran to the locker room. Fairview picked up the ball and trotted in for their second score of the night. Things got progressively worse for the 5-1 putty tats after that and the 7-0 yellow jackets cruised for the win and solidified themselves as the district 11AA front runners. "We were prepared for a hard fought game and practiced accordingly." Said coach Chris Hughes after the game. Hughes also commented on how proud he was of the Yellow Jacket junior varsity cheerleaders. "Those girls put forth a tremendous effort. When I sent them into play in the second half I fully expected Lewis county to be able to move the ball. I was shocked at how effective those young ladies were." The jacket cheerleaders held the putty tats to 9yds rushing on 11 attempts, forced 3 fumbles, and intercepted 4 passes in the 2nd half of play. Senior standout Garrett Wall quoted humbly after the game. "Lewis gave it their best effort. I thought once in the first quarter that #46 was going to try and tackle me, but he moved out of my way at the last second."

Fairview heads to Centerville in 2 weeks to take on the 3-3 Hickman County Bullpoodles in another district contest. AP

    • Gleason all over west Carroll in scrimmage. Gleason is big and fast
    • Defending 2A state Champs Westview Lady Chargers are pretty tough. They lost a bunch of production off last year's squad but returned some talent as well. They still McCall Simms, a Tennesseee Lady Vol softball commit as well as solid talent around the diamond. I dont think they are as good as last season but they will definitely be a tough out. Huntingdon Lady Mustangs seem to be pretty stout as well. Don't know much about Riverside other than Westview defeated them earlier in regions. West Tennessee softball is pretty solid all around id say.
    • Eagleville couldn’t catch up to Jones, he did have his location issues but in that game Eagleville popped up everything and the one hit they did have could have been ruled an error. Jeffcoat was a lot sharper in the beginning of the season last year than the end. ER ran out of pitching and still was in striking distance but none the less the better team one. Last seasons tournament was A LOT more balanced and talented. South Pitts starter is a Lefty who was low 80’s but couldn’t maintain his velo throughout the  outing, their #2 was more impressive last year, we knocked him around this year and his mph was down some. Their #3 isn’t bad neither, throws a lot of strikes and sits high 70’s.
    • He actually had a really solid spring.  I could see him getting some backup snaps on offense and be a regular on special teams.  Really athletic kid who can run.
