You would be right, eagleclaw.....and you are also right about it not being Summertown basketball....and I dont see a talent problem at all-there are guys with potential that need direction-I can assure you that a Trotter or a McBee would get alot more from this group and thats not the players fault

I got to see the Cwood/Marshal Co game...Marshal has some talent and some kids with serious hops-their starting pg was out with an injury or this game might have been different.....when cwood went up by 16 late in the 3rd they put it on cruise control-if they want to make noise int Murphy they cant do that

I wish their starting pg could have played. It would have been nice to get to see him Robertson go at each other

I've seen coach crews do that a lot. He doesn't hammer teams like most. Hes a classy guy. Collinwood could have scored way over a 100 I'm a couple of games.

I believe the coach is just being smart....not necessarily classy. Playing youth more because you know what you have is smart for the future. Sounds like he is not just living for today but setting up for tomorrow. He does need however to make a couple "statement games" as the post season nears. Please just don't make it one of our games!

Collinwood took care of Sycamore. 73-70. Trojans are on a roll.

Sycamore lost to Lawrence County by 2 the day before with lchs missing their best player....cwood handled lchs with ease earlier in the year, to my understanding....for syc/cwood to be a 3 pt game tells me one of 3 things

 

1. Cwood wasnt hitting on all cylandars

2. Sycamore played lights out

3. Both of the above

 

I only caught the last 10 seconds so I cant say which statement is most accurate

Sycamore was making every thing they shot and cwood really only had three players that scored over 5 points I believe

Cwood won......that's all that matters of to me. Its rare for a 1a high school team to go undefeated, so a 3 point win is as good as a 30 point win.

Looks like Cwood has 1st place wrapped up in D12 but who will pull out the 2nd place?  So far WC is 2-0 in the district with a win over Stown.  Stown has a win over PC and is currently 1-1. Loretto is 1-1 with a win over PC.

Collinwood picked up a really tough and gritty win over Fayyetteville last night. Have any other teams played in Christmas tournament?
