#25 from Mt. Pleasant and #5 from Collinwood each had over 20 points. They put on a show and the game was great to watch

Yes indeed! The "3" killed Summertown last night!

 

But a bigger factor in the game if true...from my understanding there was no game plan for Collinwood!?!?

 

I just don't see how you plan to beat or compete with a team if you don't have a plan, and to that point a plan A & B. May not work....but at least you gave it a mental and physical shot.

 

I really do hope that's not true!

True:  Someone needs to inform Coach of this. And while they are at it ,they need to tell him that              rebounding, defense, ball handling, speed, and team play is also part of the game.  I realize the degree of size and talent is down, but with the experience of these players have from last year  and half of this year they should be a much better team.

they had a plan, it was to jack threes and hope they made enough to stay in the game...plan b was to rebound the misses and kick it back out for another try...defense is for sissies

no I am not their coach but I have seen Summertown play a lot over the years...to their credit they usually have a couple of guys who can rally drain it and at least one big gun to battle on the boards....guess its different now although the style of play hasn't changed.  And they always put their opponent on the open end of the court in the second half where its harder to hit shots...

Summertown has had a reasonably solid defense all season, this game being the exception! 

Collinwood is good and deep but should not have scored above 70 on the defense that has competed against other teams. There was really no discipline to the play at all!

 

Lack of game planning begins to diminish a team, because a sound game plan involves the whole team!

sometimes the other team is just better...I mean Collinwood is like 17 and 1...I doubt that means that they faced 17 bad coaches     teams play them better when they slo ball and limit possessions....Summertown used to do that to Collinwood in years past and had some success

I wasn't talking about Summertown. I was talking about cwoods weakness is defense. We score a lot of points but we usually allow other teams to score above their average which could be a factor come tourney time

awww, if they lose every game the rest of the way they have still had an outstanding year...the tournament is just extra, I would like to see them take the district though...to me that is the important one
