Boone @ Tennessee High: Fighting for a Spot in the Playoffs

Ok. This thread is going nowhere so I'll bite. Where you at the DB game Spoon?

The not being able to "handle it when your team loses and blame it on everything but the obvious" is a ludicrous statement. I like to win but I promise it wouldn't be life changing for me if THS didn't win another game this year. It's always nice to win and if they don't I'll be disapointed but I promise I won't lose sleep or money over it (well... at least I won't lose any sleep). When I feel the refs stink it up I (unlike many on here who think there is some kind of unspoken gentlemens rule not to complain about the officiating) have a big enough sack to point it out... win or lose, and could care less about what you or anybody else thinks about it. Pulling for the Vikings on Friday night is no different than watching the Cowboys on Sunday at this point. The Vikings are my alumni and  team and I will be a THS Viking for life (just like with the Cowboys), but when I wake up Saturday morning... Friday nights game is low on the list of my concerns win or lose. I haven't paid much attention to the coacht boards for several years but this year the Vikings actually have a good team contrary to what their record says, so I figured I'd check back in to see if ya'll forgot. You must have because had you not you would have known how this back and forth with me is going to end and you would have gotten back in line several posts ago. Coacht has been a way to have fun, past the time every since my sons both graduated, but It was a different ball of wax when my sons played I do have to admit. Now it's just another way to compete, match football wits, but most of all it's a chance to clown people like you who can't keep up.  :roflolk:

Of course you'll "bite" that's what you do and everyone leads you around by the nose on coachT because of it. I try and see as many high school football games as I can in the area and had all the insight that I needed to be able to comment on this game is all I can say! You don't have a leg to stand on with your ranting about the referees, and you never do it's just your rose colored THS shades your wearing when watching the game! Let it go man..... your team lost and not because of the fogged out view those shades are giving you.

It was definitely 2008, and he was spreading his CRAP1 pretty thick back then as well. I couldn't agree more that he's meaningless but he's kind of like the village idiot who you like to drag around by the nose and eventually right back to his own pile of CRAP1 as he's to stupid to realize it. Blaming everything except the obvious is a sign of incompetence and insecurity that CRAP1 will undoubtedly have to deal with for rest of his life.

WRONG Dr. Phil! Anyone that would call me insecure (of all things) is in denial. By the way... if your coworkers randomly burst out in laughter every time they look at you at work, you will know that they are coachT members and have figured out your who you are on here.

Why didn't you just say "no I wasn't at the game"?! There goes another minute of our lives we will never get back.

Who's your team Spoon? :popcorneater:

I really don't pull for one team or another since I don't have a dog in the hunt anymore. I'm a big fan of high school football and enjoy watching the sport as I believe it's in it's purest form at this level before getting distorted by college and pro ball. And every since my dog got out of the hunt I haven't posted on here but I still visit all the time to keep up with the teams throughout the area. With that being said I've read many of your idiotic posts on here but when you started on the referee tirade again I couldn't resist to get on here and remind you as it seems most of the others like to do as well that your an idiot and provide the village idiot perspective and entertainment for a lot of the people who actually understand high school football. See you at the game!

There is a 3 TD gap in these two teams. Whether or not the Vikings chose to honor it will be entirely up to them.

Looks like the Vikings honored it. Surely they realize the opportunity they blew to win the Big 7 this year. Anyway, there is enough potential to exend the season several weeks in the playoffs. Good luck Vikes!

Tenn High 31     Boone 7          Well rats, Boone misses the playoffs for the first time since 2008.    Congratulations to the Vikings and good luck as you represent the Tricities in the post season.   We will be waiting for you Vikes next year in Gray

According to Topper posters, SH has been playing uninspired football lately.  They may be looking ahead to DB.  Nothing against the Blazers, but hoping for a Topper win next week since that will help the Vikes.

This game went pretty much par for the course IMO, with the exception of the clock being kept on the field. What was up with that?? The clock on the score board seemed to be working before the game and the announcer made the statement before the game that "the clock would be kept on the field for reasons unknown to him". Henley actually had a good game and made pretty good reads most of the night with the exception of a couple of times when he missed Clark on release routes. Clark had already dropped a wide open pass that hit him in his numbers and more than likely would have gone for six, so I can sort of see where Payton's hesitation came from. It was also nice to see us go back to old faithful Mitchell. He made a couple of spectacular catches for touchdowns. Coaches made a nice adjustment in the second half by going to the hard count. Boone's defense was getting a big jump on us and was in the backfield multiple times by anticipating the snap count and it cost them two or three first downs from jumping off sides in the second half. The Vikings were just to much for the Trailblazers this year as expected but as I also said you can never take that for granted when it comes to Boone.

How about those extra points and field goal? Not the ones at halftime.

As for the clock, the lights on the minute side were never on or never working last night, just the second side.

Thank God that the referees keeping the time on the field didn't lead to any missed calls that would cloud your rose colored THS  glasses view of the field. Or God forbid a THS loss!! I believe CRAP1 wouldn't have been able to post due to him chewing his keyboard to pieces. We would have had to ask CoachT to give us clues to his real identity and location so we could send suicide prevention out to look for him!!

Boone plays rather un-inspired as well, but I'm hoping SH looks ahead to DB and forgets about the Blazers.    If we could bring the same Boone team that played DB so tough, and get them to show up against SH then the Blazers have a shot of winning.
