Station Camp at Hendersonville 9AAA Title Game

It looks like the winner of this game will get to host the same game next week. At least that is how it's currently projected. Talk about De' ja Vu. Good luck to both teams we need 9AAA to be represented well this post season.

Also looks like a possibility that Gallatin and Beech play in week one. I don't like it.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit either. You would think the TSSAA could avoid a first round matchup between district teams when they are the only two in the quad. Oh well who ever said they do the right thing.

Tough loss for Hville tonight as they fall to SC 21-14. Anderton goes 12-20 for 164 with 1 TD and 2 ints. J Malone had 7 catches for 99 yds and led the Bison rushers with 6 carries for 36 yds and 2 huge TD's. Hville out gains the Bison 282-261 but 2 huge fumbles in the 1st half, one at the 5 yd line proved to be too much to overcome. The Commandos were led by Corey Jones with 64 yds rushing, Jeremias Elston had 58 and Cameron Turner had 49. Elston went 7 for 17 for 77 yds with 1 int. Great effort by both teams as the game turned into a extremely physical hard hitting contest in the 2nd half. Proud of the Commandos effort just need a little better execution.

Third and goal from the 15 with just over a minute to go and Hville out of time outs. Fade to Malone into double coverage which Anderton underthrew. Schwerdt picks it off and goes past midfield. Penalty for illegal block brought it back about 30 yards but we went from having no chance to throwing a ball into the end zone on the game's final play. Certainly an odd call.

Run the ball to the center of the field, run the clock, kick the 25yd FG... Game over.

 

Station camp couldn't run the ball all night. Not sure what that was about. Great game. Certainly not SC's best showing. Hendersonville wouldn't be a good draw right now for a first round game.
