Might have left one of the better teams in the city in Boyd Buchanan. They were district and region champs and return everyone for their senior season!!

Austin Walker, Justus McMillian, and Hall Allen are our top three returning scorers but the other four seniors, Q D Cox, Zac Jenkins, Jermemiah Nason, and Colby Arendale all bring talents to this most talented team!!

Here is a news article on the team:

Boyd-Buchanan's boys return their starting lineup of Hall Allen, Q.D. Cox, Zach Jenkins, Justus McMillan and Austin Walker from last season's 26-8 team, along with key reserves Colby Arendale and Jeremiah Nason. Allen, the point guard, had toe surgery in mid-August and is expected miss the first couple of weeks.

The Buccaneers' season ended with a 53-49 loss to Clarkrange in a state sectional. Their first game this year is Nov. 12, when they host Van Buren County.

"Six months, seven months is a long time to dwell on that loss," Boyd-Buchanan coach Cole Rose said. "It could be good for us. It left tastes in our mouths that we want to do more.

"As soon as the school year started, I think all of my guys marked this day on their calendars. We had a really good summer. We did all our preseason conditioning. I think we're ready to get started."

Watch Tyner, Central and Soddy and Mccallie  tonight ,Tyner without Sadik but only beat Soddy by 1, Soddy gave them all they wanted, Mccallie beat Soddy by a few, but Central smashed Soddy and Mccallie when there starters was in for about 8 mins. of course, some of Mccallie Starters are out in Football but Central was by far the best team tonight. I think we better not over look Central.

    • That is absolutely not the truth.  Few if any college coaches or school administrators want to be in the middle of legal proceedings if there is any way possible to avoid being caught in the middle.  With that being said I have two questions: 1.  Why would a coach remove any player from the team for using the F WORD?  Yes, I fully understand the player must be held accountable for her actions.  Maybe extra running and even a one game suspension but if every kid or coach that used improper language was kicked on the team or fired, they would have no players or coaches available to play the games. 2.  If there was truly another player or coach that witnessed this situation, and they agree with the player then by all means the coach should be held accountable for their actions.
    • 1st round exit?        For real ?!?!?!                     Oh wait.....    are we talking band or football?
    • Assistant football staff still the same? Any replacement for Brian Beaubien? Who will be the DC? Will there be anything going on this spring with football? I go watch practice often.
    • Their feeder programs are in the best shape they've ever been.
    • The definition of what happened to the ex-coach is ambiguous. The school said they were going in a different direction and thanked her for her service as coach. Apparently, coaches in Warren County operate on one-year agreements of some type. Rumors are that she was asked to resign, and refused. Whatever happened, it appears that the school system did not renew the one-year agreement with the ex-coach to come back for another season. One and done tenure as coach. Stotts has been a guidance counselor at the high school in Warren County. Several years ago, the former girls coach who is now an AD and assistant principal dismissed Stotts from his staff on the first day of the season. That reality made the hiring of Stotts a mystery to many people in Warren County.
