Fort Campbell & Northwest Scrimmage, I must say North was moving on all cylinders..

Like always Haynes & Townley lead Northwest, Haynes a had 16 points 4 blocks & Townley Had 10 points & 8 assist. in 2 quarters.

But I must say Will Newell & Quinton Partee was the BIG Story!!! Will Newell Had 3 incredible Dunks & Quinton had 2 Monster Dunks to include a Baseline Tom-a-Hawk Dunk. It was nasty. Thomas Haynes throw a two hander down, Jarret Toller threw a one hander down & Townley had a half a dunk, kinda layed it over the rim!!! The Varsity only played 2 Quaters, they out scored 22-2 the first quarter, the second quarter 22-4,

thats 44-6 Northwest.. That last Slam by Newell made Coach Ross Call a time-out. Newell Cocked the Ball back to his neck & Monster Dunked with two hands. (NASTY)

Then Coach Ross put in his JV , big ups to Coach Ross for not trying to destroy Fort Campbell confidents. Northwest was simply too big and Athlete for Fort Campbell, .

Haynes (6'4) Newell (6'4) Partee (6'4) Toller (6'7)

Townley (5'11) Martin (6'3) another New kid he was (6'3)

Is Fort Campbell a measureing stick for North, probably not. their next Scrimmage is in Houston County 4:30pm..Thursday..If their any other teams scrimmaging out there I like to Come, Yes I bring viedo cam, paper, pen, a camera and all. And I know a few Scouts.

I Like Northwest, but I will support all Clarksville Schools, because I know a lot of these players and they are very respectful kids. www.nsr-inc.com

Will Newell had 8 pts., Quinton Partee 4 pts, Thomas Haynes 13, Martin 3 and Kevin Townley 3 were all starters for NW.

Off the bench was Cedric Wilkerson 5 pts., Willie Brown 6 pts., Dante Williams 15 , Anthony Thomas, and Jarred Toller with 4.

The 1st and 4th quarters are what helped NW get too far ahead for Houston co. to get back in it.

NW----Houston Co.

1st....18 ---- 4

2nd....10 ---- 12

3rd....13 ----17

4th....20 ---- 4

final..61 ----37

He'd played pretty good, Northwest size was a little to much again. I like Williams, he score a lot of points against their second team.....Hey Haynes, you can't get mad at the REF!!!!!

Northwest killed them the first Quarter 18-4, after that, they kinda took Houston lightly....

Yeah Williams could be the surprise comming off the Bench, if he doesn't get nervous, at least I hope he is!!!!!

Northwest still the TEam to beat!!!!

They'll be tested real early in the SEASON BEECH, OAKLAND, Mt JULIET....

Coach Ross are you READY?????

    • I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"
    • TSSAA will let them all go to Mase.
    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
