One of the top high school programs in the country has ran the wingt since 1980, Bellevue, Washington. They are 81-7 since 2000 and five of last six state titles. They are the team that ended De La Salle, CA 151 game winning streak. Not to mention, they finished the season ranked 8th in the country. Zeeland West has won two out of last three class 3A state championships in Michigan running the wingt. There are several more examples. The wingt can be a very good high school offense, especially if you are playing teams that normally have superior athletes.

Agree Wing T can be an effective high school offense just ask Webb. But the perception is it is not a good offense for fans or players. Think it will be a hard sell and there could be some fall out with loss of fan support and athletes. Don't think AD is in touch with what the players and fans think is best. Like it or not fans and community has to buy in as well. Ask former Halls coaches that ran a similar offense.

All fans care about are wins and losses. If you win they will buy in even if you are running the side saddle single wing.

Coach Allen made a couple of hires, the new OC Coach Ryan simply can put points on the board with his system, don't know a lot about Coach Plemons the o-line coach.

Actually, the only hires that are official at this point other than Allen are the holdovers from the previous staff:  DL Rusty Smith, OL Larry Neely, and RB Charles Birden.  The rest are just speculation at this point until Knox County School HR approves the recommended candidates.

That said, IF Plemmons becomes part of the staff after HR does their due diligence he won't be coaching the OL.  He'll be on the other side of the line of scrimmage - on the defensive staff.
