Im saying the week of the 4th is June 29th through July 5th.  The week before that is June 22nd through June 28.  SO reading that, Dead period should be from June 22nd through July 5th.

 

The PDF I saw said that and then contradicted itself by saying:

 

" Dead Period ................................................Jun. 21 – July 4, 2015"

 

Am I looking at that incorrectly?

I believe that's an example of dates they used in the rule but it is for 2015 not 2014.

Good question. It isn't very clear about off season duals or tournaments, just training.

Doesn't go into affect until the school year is over... So no post season coaching this year.

Not until next year was my understanding... will have to look a little more closely at how this plays out specifically in the wording of the rules and when each handbook covers and takes effect.

It says beginning with the end of this season there are no restrictions on practice besides the 2 week dead period. Notice the highlighted area at the bottom.

NOTE: The 2014-15 TSSAA Sports Calendar will go into effect at the end of the 2013-14 School Year.

 

It says 2013-14 SCHOOL YEAR. Not 2013-14 season.

 

 

But I'd argue the language is ambiguous. It says "sports calendar". Not "rules".
