Coffetalk
It was family reasons I would say.
Bump11
I couldnt agree more. And i dont see how you can say he is cheating or that Alcoa is doing something wrong. He came back and wants to wrestle. The didnt force him to come back or beg him to come back.
Coffetalk
If he does lose it won't be small school and if he lost in big school it wouldn't be a mat mopping.

He will wrestle at A/AA state. As much as we'd all love to see him at AAA state, its not possible
rlwest40
There was another wrestler at 220 for his team. Eligible? What's that? Perfect timing, couldn't have planned it better!
LBJ6
I don't know how you could call it cheating. He will have to work his way through the bracket just like everyone else. I think he ends up taking first.
cbg
I read a lot of posts but never reply until now. I think the fact that Alcoa brought Sammy Evans back here to win for them is crap. I don't know who Alcoa had been wrestling at that weight all year long but hate it for them. They just get tossed aside to make room for this guy. I am sure he was made eligible based on some sort of hardship. I can't believe that some of the coaches didn't fight that decision. Anyway, I hope that somebody mops the map with him for trying to cheat his way to a championship.Never blame a kid for what would be adult mistakes. memphissoccerpimp22
How do you know that about Alcoa bringing him back
matguy94
Who knows whether Alcoa or the family initiated it but Alcoa was happy to take him. He came home the day before duels is what I heard.
Coffetalk
Did he wrestle in the duals? No. The 220 that wrestled was just filing in. He hadn't wrestled a match all year until that weekend. Who wouldn't be happy to take a wrestler of that caliber? Why d does this bother you so much? Your son must wrestle 220 and lost his chance at a state title once Sammy came back.
rlwest40
He had been wrestling all year in a different state. Lucky he was able to get certified and approved that quick the week of region.
Tronado
He had been wrestling all year in a different state. Lucky he was able to get certified and approved that quick the week of region. I've transferred a student or two, no way in heck this happens for the majority of students. It took 3 months and appeals to get mine through, Started in August and got confirmation a week into November. Something doesn't sound right, could care less about y or that he's wrestling. Hope he does well, I think that almost all would be wondering how you can get this done in a certain time frame. A lot of parents may want to figure out how to get it done.
