Well the streak is over. Heard they lost to Friendship 5-4 this morning. Now I'm eager to see how the react to this loss.

On here it was showing they didn't play Friendship until 4 this evening. It is also showing they beat White County 11-0. Have they really already played two games this morning?

They're playing FC right now for the championship. I didn't hear who they played at 3.

It would be nice for them to avenge their only loss on the same day it happened though. Haven't heard a score though. I think the game started about 5pm.

DC wins 8-6 in extra innings, taking home another championship. I think that brings the record to 21-1.

Good deal, I am not really familiar with the format in these types of tournaments so maybe you or someone else can help me. How is it there wasn't a game three between these two schools to decide the champion? If FC beat DC game 1, and made it to the finals unbeaten, how is it DC is crowned tournament champion when both team won one game? It looks like DC would have to beat them twice in a row.

Dctiger. FC beat DeKalb in pool play. The actual tourney didn't start til 12. They were in different parts of the bracket which is single elimination and met in the championship with DC winning it. Hope that makes sense.

This. The two pool games that were scheduled for last night and moved to early this morning decided the layout of the single elimination tournament, which played out the rest of the day.

In the tournament DC suffered their first loss to FC 5-4 in pool play. They then beat White Co. 11-0, Gordonsville 5-1, Jefferson County 4-2, and FC 8-6 in the championship. They are now 21-1 on the season.

I'm very glad to see them avenge that loss on the same day. Looking at FC's schedule, they look like a very quality opponent. They're 16-8 with a ton of out of state games.

    • You could trade or swap any 2-4 IMO . WC is rebuilding, PC loses the presence of 4 year stud Joshua Warren. Mcewen lacks the speed the other teams have , and also lost its top two way player from last season . HRB will look a lot different this coming season.. they return a ton of experience (though still a little on the young side as they are mostly JRs and SO ) but I liked what I saw out of them vs Mcnairy Central , I was hearing MC had 18 SRs , so that’s usually a death sentence vs small 1A schools I don’t care who they are . HRB looked to have the best player on the field , Brady can really run it .. reminds me of Ganaway but more of a WR .. the new regime will be a positive for them .
    • watch out for those Red Boiling Bulldogs
    • Never too early for football talk and good as time as any to start a new thread for this region after spring scrimmages have been completed. This region is all up for grabs after Mckenzie.. Mckenzie should run away with it and not stop until Chattanooga . My prediction  Mckenzie  Houston County  HRB Mcewen  West Carroll  Perry County
    • Agreed EastNasty. I honestly can't remember the last time metro had a big time QB recruit. I know several that played QB but weren't being recruited as a QB.
    • Don’t think they was using the current system and I personally don’t consider them Metro schools.
