Many of the prep games scheduled for today (3/17) in the Chattanooga Area have been postponed to a later date due to the steady rain the region has seen.

Big showdown in District 5-AAA tomorrow with Soddy Daisy visiting Walker Valley. These two teams have duked it out at the top of the district for the past two years, and will continue to for the next couple years.

 

Weekend Review:

 

-Baylor won the Brentwood Tournament

-Ooltewah and East Hamilton had one-and-done's in the Brentwood Tournament

-Walker Valley advanced to the round of 16 in the Commando Classic, before being eliminated by 2013 TSSAA 3rd-place finisher, Clarksville, 2-1.

-Central took a first round loss to Carter in the -Meigs tournament.

Walker Valley wins in bottom of 7 5 to 4 over Soddy

Very exciting Soddy Daisy/Walker Valley game. They are the clear-cut top two teams in district 5-AAA. Will be fun to watch these two teams duke it out in the second regular season game and in the district tournament.

Whitwell beat Marion 4 to 2. Whitwell moves to 3-0 in District 6A.

Soddy Daisy rode a freshman pitcher (Shonna Penney, I believe) in that game. She'll be a good one for Soddy down the road!
